[#409] It Was Worth It In The End

We knew we had to leave this town
But we never knew when and we never knew how
We would end up here the way we are

September” – DaughtryListen

As the season is beginning to change you’ll start seeing scenery changes on just about all the fashion blogs out there and there’s nothing wrong with that. I encourage people to use whatever might inspire them and the changing of seasons is one of those things that can help renew the creative juices flowing within our minds. While personally I am not a fan of colder weather I do embrace it every now and again when it gives me something to work with.

Listening to some playlists the other day I came up with the theme for this photo and it really fits considering the title of the song is the month we are actually still in (but not for much longer of course). It also happened that I saw a photo at a sim I always enjoyed taking pics at, The Fall Trace, which I had not kept up with or even thought was still open. Very glad that it is though and there is a taxi for you down in the full credits.

I only have one sponsored item in my look this time and is another color from the “Charm Eyes” by Avi-Glam currently being sold at Shiny Shabby. I feel as though sometimes if you feature more then one color from an eye set it helps consumers make more of a decision on whether or not they want to purchase the product.

Also in this look set are items from The Men’s Department which has a day or so more left before they close up for the beginning of the next round to get set up. I really did managed to bring home a lot of merch from this month’s event and every bit of it has been great to feature in my work.

Events also featured in this entry are the Hipster Men’s Event and a brand new round of Shoetopia (which I was excited to see as there are usually a small but good amount of footwear for us fellas there). As for the Hipster Men’s event, I have since its first round come home with quite a few items. Another reason to look forward to the beginning of a new month!

I’ve taken up enough of your time but I’m glad you’ve come to take a look at my latest adventure but it is time to go begin a new one…a new conversation if you will. Below are the credits as well as some personal thoughts on the newest items in the look.

Onto the next conversation …

HAIR⊱ no.match_ – NO_SNOW @ Hipster Men’s EventNEW

Even Kit Harrington himself would be impressed with this hair based off of his character on Game of Thrones. This very authentic looking hair is available in several different color packs as well as a variety and Fatpack. Also included is a HUD for a matching hairbase. It comes in a small and large size. I had to take a front and back photo of this to show you how accurate it looks.

HEADLeLutka – Andrea ♯ NEW
EYES⊱ AG. Charm Eyes – Fatpack @ Shiny ShabbyNEW
FACE⊱ ~Tableau Vivant~ – Andrea 003 @ LeLutkaNEW
BODYBelleza – Jake

SHIRT/VEST⊱ ::K:: Classy Gillet Homme Tan @ TMDNEW

Part one of a separated outfit available for a few more days at The Men’s Department. Shirt and Vest (or Gillet’s as they are also called) combinations are a favorite of mine to have in my virtual closet. There are several Gillet colors to choose from (also available in a Fatpack if you can’t decide on just one) with an included HUD that gives you 6 options to change the color of your shirt to. Belleza, Signature, SLink, and TMP male body wearers can head over to TMD to take a look at this very casual combo.

PANTS⊱ ::K:: Soft Cargo Pants Homme Navy @ TMDNEW

So you’ve probably just picked up the Classy Gillet and are thinking “I don’t have any pants to go with this” and then as you are at TMD your eyes wander below to find these excellent pair of cargo’s. With the option to wear them with or without the included belt (which has a HUD to change the color) you are sure to look your best wherever you may be wearing them to, either by themselves or as a complete outfit with the Classy Gillet. These pants are available separately or as a Fatpack and compatible with the same sizes as the Gillet above.

SHOES⊱ A&D Clothing – Shoes -Firenze- @ ShoetopiaNEW

With the upper and lower part of the body covered, I needed something to cover the dogs as it were and fortunately enough a new round of Shoetopia opened. A&D does a really good job with producing quality clothing and footwear and my eyes feasted upon these monk styled dress shoes and thought they were perfect. Just like any other A&D release if you purchase the full Fatpack you get treated to bonus colors and in this release you get them in the form of both shoe and sock colors. Wearers of Classic avi’s as well as Belleza, Signature, SLink, and TMP male mesh bodies will be able to wear these very slick shoes. They are sure to complement any dressed up look and could even be right for some casual attire situations as well.

WRONG & The Owl. Static Male Poses #4 (1) @ Hipster Men’s EventNEW

Pose makers Wrong and The Owl collaborate to bring us a pose pack for the Hipster Men’s Event. 4 different poses to choose from that could make for a good photo opportunity with a quality bento enhanced pose. If these two continue to collaborate in the future I’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled. Check them out, I encourage you to.

[#384] Where No One Knows My Name

I think I’ll go to Boston
I think I’ll start a new life
I think I’ll start it over where no one knows my name

Boston” – AugustanaListen

I welcome everyone back to another look from yours truly, where this time I have goodies from events such as UBER, Designer Circle, Cosmopolitan, Man Cave and also Men Only Monthly. Just like usual you’ll find the full credits below where you will be given transportation to the events and stores themselves. I’m going to try something a bit new with this entry and for the new items that are being featured I’ll write a little bit about each of them. Let me get into what went on in this one so I can get you out there to enjoy a shopping experience.

HAIRBURLEY – Gabriel

Burley is a well known name in the hair game in the world of Second Life, most people reading this will know that but just in case you haven’t found this fine example of stylish tresses then I am glad that I am able to give you a taste. The recently released “Gabriel” hair is a nice mid length side combed hair but what makes this just a bit more special is that it comes with a styler HUD and gives you the option to choose if you want the full hair or a version where the side is shaved which is something of a major hair trend that I’m noticing. For this item I went with the variety pack as there were more than I would possibly use with the full FATPACK, but there’s still a generous amount of colors included. You are also getting an included Hairbase for Legacy users, and also applier HUDs for Omega, Signature, and TMP respectively.

HEADCATWA – Daniel (Bento)

EYES⊱ AG. Passion Eyes ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Cosmopolitan (Until 07/02)

We are in the final days of the current round of Cosmopolitan in which Avi-Glam is participating with their release of the “Passion Eyes”. There are 6 different colors to choose from all with little flecks in them to make them even more unique. Provided in this package are mesh eyes as well as HUDs for Catwa, LeLutka, and Omega applier enabled eye products.

FACE⊱ Clef de Peau: Ivo T2 ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ M.O.M

MOUSTACHE⊱ Kauna – Bento Moustache: English [v1.2] ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Man Cave
BEARD⊱ Kauna – Bento Beard: Shape A [v1.2] ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Man Cave

Kauna, a brand known for their clothing such as their suits and more recently jeans/boots combination have stepped into new territory with their release of new bento facial hair, a beard and a moustache. The “English” Moustuache is a very old style handlebar that works really nicely with the “Shape A” beard. Both of these come with a HUD with 9 pre-selectable hair colors but also has a tintable feature if your style choice is not one of the ones included. For a first effort, I think Kauna nailed this and is a product that I’ll certainly feature again in the future. It must also be noted that this beard is for users or Catwa branded heads. If you have something other than Daniel and Stanley it is advised to try the demo first. You can find both of these at the inaugural round of Man Cave, and from one fella to another, I definitely recommend it to any beard lover.

BODY[SIGNATURE] Gianni – Body – v3.5

SHIRT⊱ AITUI – Mountaineer – Ash ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ UBER
WRAP⊱ AITUI – Mountaineer – Waist Wrap ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ UBER

I’m really excited about the latest release by Aitui that is currently available at UBER, which just started a fresh round several days ago. The “Mountaineer” shirt is best described as a graphic tee with the added benefit of suspenders thrown in. There are 8 colors to choose from and fit Signature, SLink, and TMP mesh bodies. I’m wearing the “Ash” version which is a mid to dark gray color. I partnered it up with the companion item that can aslo be found at the same event. The “Mountaineer Waist Wrap” is a cool flannel shirt that goes around the waist and works for that potential evening chill one might experience hanging out at the beach. The waist wrap has HUD with 8 different choices and fits the same three body formats the shirt does. I really knew I had to have these the moment I saw them and I certainly hope you get that same feeling.

SHORTS⊱ RIOT / Simon Shorts ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ M.O.M

As one of my sponsors, I was honored to receive the latest clothing release from RIOT that is out now at Men Only Monthly. The “Simon” shorts are a great addition to the look that I’ve put together. The FATPACK provides you with 28 different colors of fabric as well as that same option with a seersucker print. The belt is customizable as well with the same color choices and 9 metal buckle choices. I decided to coordinate with the flannel color of the waist wrap and went with the teal seersucker print. The shorts are just the right length just above the kneecap as I don’t like them all that short personally. The HUD is easy to use and no matter what color you choice you’ll definitely be getting a quality product. Head over to Men Only Monthly now and give them a shot!

SHOES⊱ The Owl. – Must Have Chucks (Batman) ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Shiny Shabby

I found myself browsing around Shiny Shabby when it opened and came across some high tops by a brand I was not familiar with. At the event, The Own has the “Must Have Chucks” in a variety of colors and also a few themed ones based of television shows and also characters. The ones I am wearing have a really cool image of the Caped Crusader and his nemesis on one side and on the other an image of The Clown Prince of Crime. I’m a sneaker addict so it didn’t take a lot of convincing for me to snag up the FATPACK; the included sizes are (Maitreya and SLink for Females) and (Signature, SLink, and TMP for Males). If you want a good looking high top check out The Owl at Shiny Shabby.

BACKDROP⊱ [Bad Unicorn] Barbers Backdrop ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Limit8 (Sold Out)

Limit8 is a great event that gives shoppers the chance to own one of a kind items that even before the event ends could be sold completely out of stock. One of those items that is being featured here is the “Barbers Backdrop” from Bad Unicorn Clothing. These scene depicts the front of a closed barber shop and comes with a secured door and even has a barbers pole to give it that true authentic shop look. Bad Unicorn did really well with this and just like their other backdrops made it fun to pose in front of. The neon signs even cast off a reddish glow to them; I’m glad to say that I have this genuine one of a kind item.

IE – GothNIC ♯ ☆NEW☆ @ Designer Circle

Designer Circle is not often an event that I’m able to find items but I just happened to find one of the latest pose sets by Image Essentials, in which I am able to review copies of. The GothNIC pose set was designed for the female in mind but I was able to find a way to take one of the poses from the set and use it to help create my scene. I have to say I really enjoy being able to take poses that aren’t specifically for guys and put a spin on them and make them work. For those ladies who might be reading this, these really are great poses to use for such occasions as creating profile pictures. Why not head to Designer Circle and take a look for yourself you may be surprised how much you like them.

I appreciate anyone who took the time to check this out and I also hope that you’re able to find uses for these items as well or are even able to find other items from the events and stores that have been featured here in this entry. I am going to call this a wrap but remember as always to stay stylish fellas!
