[#538] I Hope Tomorrow Comes Today

So shine for me as one
Cast a shadow on the sun
The light to find my way
I hope tomorrow comes today

12 Stones, ♫Tomorrow Comes Today

When you have a lot of irons in the fire you tend to forget something and I feel so bad that I missed blogging some great items from the recent NEO Japan event that ended on the 21st. I captured a really fantastic picture (well two of them a front and back facing shot) that I feel very proud about. The items from the event will turn over into the main store locations for the brands that I’m featuring so do not feel as sad as I do right now because you will still be able to get them if you want them (and I hope you do!)

One of the many things that I am a huge fan of is katanas and the different warriors of the past who wielded them (Samurai and Ninja respectively) and the recent pose set release by Kokoro Poses has me amped hardcore. 4 poses with accompanying katana swords had me salivating creatively because of the outfit I had to accompany it with.

I’ve probably mentioned this before but with Kokoro Poses it pays to buy the full pack because they add little extras and who doesn’t love bonus poses? In this pack there are two…yes TWO extra poses and each pose has a mirrored pose and a katana specifically for each pose as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves bladed weapons as I do and I certainly would love to see what others do with this as well.

Kokoro Poses Tokugawa Fatpack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required to use properly)
  • 4 poses each with mirror and mesh katana specifically for the poses
  • 2 bonus poses also with included mesh katana and mirrored versions
  • Avaiable @ the Kokoro Poses in-world location

Another recent release, this one from Bakaboo is the Yang Kimono and Leggings which I think are truly great. As I put the look together and started setting up the pose and angle I really felt like a warrior even if it was in the virtual sense. Americans were not as welcome back in those days and were very scarce if any but I think it would have been amazing to live in that time period of the samurai.

Whenever I see shows or movies with sword fights it captivates me and personally I would love to learn the art of sword fighting and different disciplines such as the Bushido code which has also fascinated me over the years as well.

Getting back to Bakaboo, I can firmly say I am amazed by the creator, Ocean Blackthorne. Unique patterns and colors are something he utilizes in his clothing to make it one of a kind and something I firmly believe is cutting edge. The one thing I like about the kimono is that one half of it is sleeveless to allow for better movement that I feel would be essential for a samurai.

There are several great color options that are a part of this set and also for all the FATPACK lovers there are two exclusive patterns as bonus for purchasing the whole kit and caboodle. I really had several ideas for what pattern I wanted to wear but I truly liked the design of the red, blue and white pattern as it spoke more to me then some of the normal designs with just color without patterns involved.

Bakaboo Yang Kimono and Leggings features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • 10 designs with 2 bonus designs (for FATPACK owners)
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique male bodies
  • Available now @ Bakaboo’s in-world location

All of the items in this blog’s look were a part of NEO Japan, which every time this event comes up there is always something great and I wasn’t able to get to cover it more as I would have liked to but I did managed to grab some things before the event ended that will make an appearance in future styling and photo sessions.

I wanted a hairstyle that was reflective of a samurai which I also found at NEO Japan in the way of the “087” hair from Dura. Much like returning to Argrace in the last blog entry, Dura is another brand that I haven’t featured in a long, long time. It’s not that I don’t like their creations it is more of a detachment from a style viewpoint. There just wasn’t much in the way that I felt reflected my style and so it wasn’t until now that I got a chance to get reacquainted with them. I like the couple flowing bangs in front and the pulled together bun in the back that finalized this look for me.

Now that I have one of their latest products I do not know for sure if I will blog Dura again but I would certainly like to if there is a style that really captures me like this one has.

Dura 087 FATPACK B features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Hairbases HUD (for Catwa, Genesis, Omega & TMP) included
  • Color Picker HUD included
  • Left and right versions
  • Male and Female versions
  • Available @ Dura’s in-world store

The time has come for me to once again wrap up this post and before I do I would like to give praise to the “Little Yoshiwara” sim which I had never visited until today. The layout is based on the Bakamatsu period and is a point of cultural Japan which if you have time to explore (more than just take photos) it’s really a neat place to visit and I will definitely return there in the future.

Join me again soon as I leave you with the style credits and other pertinent information as well as the taxi to Little Yoshiwara. Enjoy exploring and until our paths cross again, it’s onto the next conversation…

[#537] If I Had $1,000,000

If I Had $1000000
I’d build a tree fort in our yard.
If I Had $1000000
You could help, it wouldn’t be that hard.

Barenaked Ladies, ♫If I Had $1,000,000

In my last blog post I set a scene in the aspect of a survival horror game or show and I’ve swung it around to be less serious in nature and more of a happy/funny type scene where I’m totally “Hollyhood” as it was explained to me. This Barenaked Ladies song is one that has tickled my funny bone for years and I took advantage of it to put this scene together with it as my soundtrack.

When I think about it, the hypothetical nature of this song really can put things into perspective because what would anyone do if they had a million dollars? Each and every person that could be asked would likely have various answers and very few would be alike. Some would spend it on frivolous things that were unimportant to daily life while others may donate some to charity or take care of debts or replacing necessities.

The Men Jail has one week left before the prison doors close to restock with brand new products (and or designers) and for my look I have two items from the event that I want to share with the public.

Dossier has been creating all sorts of new things lately from shoes to pants to this new “Fur Coat”. The one thing I love about this brand is that their items are super affordable and also loaded with color options; you are not just paying for one single item but you get a fatpack with different color options. This coat gives you the ability to change both the outside fur and the inside lining of the coat in one easy to use HUD.

I can assure you that no virtual animals were harmed in the making of this photo and I say this as I feel like this is not a genuine but faux fur so people can rest easy.

Dossier Fur Coat features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • HUD for changing the outside fur and inside lining
  • 6 colors a piece to change each part of the coat
  • Will fit Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Geralt & Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until Oct. 28th

The pants I am wearing also come from The Men Jail and are made by E.Storm and are called “Ave-Style” which I am wearing in black. I felt that it was the best color choice to go with whatever fur I would choose for the coat which was a brownish tone and had I decided on wearing white fur then I likely would have gone with white to match it.

One of the cool things about these pants is they have a cool tech type of design imprinted on them and I should also give you fair warning that you might like to wear them with a longer shirt or a coat as I have because they do show a bit of backside and some people are not enthusiastic to show the plumber side of them out in public.

E.Storm Ave-Style Pants feature:

  • 100% original mesh
  • 10 different colors/patterns to choose from (Black is worn)
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until Oct. 28th

It has been an awful long time since I have had a hair that was new from the Argrace brand and now that they have started using new textures and also styling HUDs, I thought I would give one of their recent products a shot. This holdover from the Hair Fair called “Iori” is a longer hair that falls down to the neck and has the ability to be worn regularly or with a mirrored version where the long lock in the front can be worn on the opposite side.

While I like this hair for the features the one thing that I would change about it (and I don’t often feel that anything needs changing) is that the hair has a bit more volume than it needs to have. That could be because it’s marketed as a unisex product where females would be wearing it as well but for me it just feels like it could be a little less poofy (which is likely not a word but I’m a rebel sometimes).

Argrace IORI Hair FATPACK features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Includes Styling HUD
  • 7 color packs (also sold seperately)
  • FATPACK contains 168 colors in total
  • Available now at the Argrace main store

Those are my three chosen features for this post and I hope anyone visiting that has not come across these in their travels will take a look at them up close for themselves. Without them it would have made putting this together not as easy I think because sometimes when I choose things I couldn’t see adding on or switching anything out.

I also hope that you got a little bit of a laugh out of this as I did while taking the photo; it was quite a blast and hope to post more fun moments like this coming up but I’m afraid for now I must wrap this up and start brainstorming on what is to come in the next blog. Thank you to anyone who has viewed this and until our paths once again cross, it’s onto the next conversation…

[#536] Will It Bury Me?

If I fall again, will it be the end?
I know it’s wrong
You think I’m strong but I just pretend
Is it taking over?
Will it bury me?
Or will clarity become the cure for my disease?

Beartooth, ♫Disease

With a little under two weeks to go until my favorite day of the year, I’m doing another Halloween inspired scene. I shot this with a horror survival video game in mind (I didn’t have a specific one in mind because there are many good ones) with the idea that my avi is traversing through a prison where all sorts of no good is taking place.

Largely this idea came together quickly when the “Cell Block Massacre” backdrop by Paparazzi hit the Limit8 event; luckily for everyone that it is not a limited item because I know that it would easily have become sold out in no time by like-minded artists such as myself to try their hand at creating stunning images. The ambiance of the item itself combined with the right windlight will create wanted results and that is everything you want in a well made backdrop like this and I could go on and on but I think that would be too much.

Paparazzi Cell Block Massacre Backdrop features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Built in lighting
  • High quality textures
  • Exclusively (but not limited) @ Limit8 until November 13th

From time to time I like to have my hair be a different color and I mean in one that is not a natural tone and I’ve done that here by using the Vibrants HUD on the “Luke Hair” from Modulus. Coordinating with the color of my pants that I’ll be detailing shortly I decided on going with a red to match the overall feel to my survival horror idea.

If I were asked to describe this style I would say it’s much like a mohawk but without the spike style (so it could even be a fauxhawk). I’ve seen this style on many major league baseball players over the last few seasons so it is growing in popularity in pop culture and sports. This is certainly another excellent product from the Alpha Nex-Gen Hair line that Modulus is known for.

Modulus Luke Hair features:

  • 100% original Alpha Nex-Gen Mesh
  • 5 color packs to choose from
  • Each pack contains 8 bases tones + integrated color pick HUD
  • 40 tone FATPACK also available
  • Exclusively @ FaMEShed until October 27th

Native Urban has been releasing quite a lot of footwear the last few months which is not a bad thing because they are all quality products but for The Men’s Department this month they have gone the extra mile and I’m excited about it. The “Groove Pants” are a skinny leg pant with decorative ropes on the right leg and a pocket on the left.

For anyone who is a FATPACK addict there is a lot of customization to these pants and you can easily change out any part of the pants with a color of your choice making it your own personal style whatever it may be in whatever moment you want. It was tough deciding on a color scheme for the pants but I went with what I was most comfortable with and went with a darker red with dark gray and white accents (rope and pocket).

The detail in these pants make them unique to anything I’ve seen lately and makes them stand out in the sea of jeans and slacks that are on the shelves in stores and events. You don’t want to miss on out these so hop over to TMD the first chance you get!

Native Urban Groove Pants features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Rope only included in FATPACK or by joining Store Group
  • 7 customizable parts with 21 colors to choose from
  • Exclusively @ TMD until October 31st!

Most I think are familiar with WetCat Poses as many people use them in their compositions (I myself have plenty of times) so I gladly am featuring one of their pose packs from Pose Fair. There are two different sets of “Amiec” poses but I went with the first as I feel like it worked well with the scene I was putting together to photograph.

This pose set has several different versions of each pose to accomodate for various things such as body shape which I think is pretty cool that a designer would be as considerate to make it easier for everyone that are using the poses to not have to fix or adjust so much while in the process of trying to capture the right photo in the right angle as well.

You can get your WetCat fix with all of their exclusives at the Pose Fair, it’s still going strong so there’s no excuse for you not to check it out if you haven’t already.

WetCat Poses Amiec Set1 Pose Pack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento capable viewer required to work properly)
  • 4 poses to chose from
  • 3 versions of each pose
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair until October 31st

Last but not lease I am wearing a tattoo and while I do not do that all that often (even though I try to find ways) I really thought this “Distortion” Tattoo from Urban street felt like it would help tell a story of perhaps a prisoner who seems to be stuck in the middle of a zombie virus and has to maneuver his way through the prison to try and seek a manor of escape to survive.

There are all sorts of scenarios I could have run with it but that’s just one of the few that spitballed out of my head while I was putting my look together. The tattoo is cool and felt it gave my look more of an edge than it would have had I not had it on.

UrbanStreet Distortion Tattoo features:

  • Unisex Tattoo
  • Applier HUDs for Omega, Signature and TMP bodies
  • 3 Different Tones (Dark, Light and Middle)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until October 28th

Now that I have covered all the things I wanted to feature it makes me kind of want to play a survival horror game but at the time of night that I am writing this it is not very likely because I have enough crazy dreams as it is to add on to it by playing something with hordes of the undead chasing me around every corner. Though I am starting to put together my next look and idea so I feel like I am ending this on a good note.

Hope everyone has a excellent weekend and until our paths cross again, it’s onto the next conversation…

[#535] I’m Getting Drunk On A Plane

I might be passed out
In the baggage claim
But right now
I’m drunk on a plane

Dierks Bentley, ♫Drunk On A Plane

When it comes to scenes that I’m doing photos with if I have a theme (or soundtrack as I have referred to before) I like plays on words. If there’s a certain thing in the lyrics that I hone into I find a location or decor that fits. FOXCITY gave me an idea that I’d been brainstorming for a long time but until they released the Flight Club Backdrop at Kustom9 I couldn’t make it a reality.

The overall meaning (or message) of Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk On A Plane” isn’t what I’m trying to convey here but I am looking at it from the viewpoint of maybe someone who is a celebrity that tends to like their beverages a bit too much and on a personal jet you can party like it’s 1999 (or 2018 whatever you might like). Though from the looks at it, it’s a bit more than a party with all the bottles and 6 packs of beer.

I am quite grateful to Aleriah for allowing me to borrow her platform and also the skybox to help make this blog entry possible. Most of the time I am very prideful and don’t want people to help or assist but sometimes you just have to and with the results of this I think it was the right decision. Learning and getting a different point of view from a peer can help you in ways you might not have considered before.

FOXCITY Flight Club Backdrop features:

  • 100% Original Mesh
  • 2 different backdrops included (Day and Night)
  • Exclusive to Kustom9 until Nov. 10th

The pose I am using is also from a set by FOXCITY that was a previously release that works with this backdrop but was originally designed for the Limo backdrop they brought out a few months ago. It’s good that it serves a dual purpose as I went through a few different poses before I chose this one for the final scene photo.

One of the things I enjoy about being a blogger for The Men Jail is that it is filled with designers I know and admire but also a few that are new to the scene that I may not have had much interaction with and the shirt I am wearing is one of them. Unleashed is not a brand until recently I was familiar with but this “Nathan” shirt is honestly cool. I wore it a few times before I used it in a picture and played with the different designs the shirt comes with (as there is are two HUDs in the FATPACK, one for plain shirts and also one for graphic designed shirts).

Now that I’ve had the experience of wearing a product by Unleashed, I will certainly be keeping an eye out for future releases from them as this one is a pleasant addition to my wardrobe.

Unleashed Nathan Shirt features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Single sale options (6 plain, 6 graphic tees)
  • FATPACKS options for each type available
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until October 28th

While the above two items are integral to the makeup of this scene, some of the items which are a part of my look as well as the decor also give it that extra something to help tell the story. Without the “RetroNerd Glassesy” by Paparazzi and the “Halloway Ripped Jeans” by Cold-Ash I could have made a scene that was like this but they certainly helped as it was the look I wanted to achieve.

A big help also came from the “Chronos Beer” set from 220ml, which I’ve used in other photos but not in the same capacity as this one and not as epicly either. The detail in this set really blows me away and there are so many options for you to choose from down to empty cases to half empty bottles…and there’s even a lime (as well as a bottle with a lime wedge).

I think after this flight my virtual self will probably want to lay off the Chronos for a bit and probably sleep a day or so. That will give me time to plot out my next idea for this blog. Looks like it’s time for me to wrap this up and put this post to bed and get you to the really good part…the credits. I had a blast with this and until our paths cross again it’s onto the next conversation…

[#534] Should’ve Stripped Her Down

Could’ve stripped her down, and made the world a mess for her
Never thought she could be this way
Should’ve stripped her down, and ripped the world from under her
Never thought she could be this way

Cold, ♫Strip Her Down

Most of us have been there before and for those who haven’t you are the most fortunate of us all. Relationships can be hard all by themselves but when you add in toxicity and other factors it tends to wear on a person (it can affect both male and female in a variety of ways). When one ends as the result of betrayal a whole range of emotions can bubble up from the surface and that is the emotion that I was looking to capture in this photo.

The raw feeling of what it is like to have been burned by someone you trust is something that can bury you deep within yourself. For some as I said it has happened and even more than once, I can admit to being one of those people. You find it hard to trust anyone afterward or want to let them in but only if you allow it to; I can tell you that not letting it take you down is the best road to go because it was not your fault.

Lately I have been doing my best to get what I want to say visually in one shot and to me I feel that this is one of those times where I don’t have to do any other close-up shots and things like that; I wanted the background and the lighting to do the talking for me along with the shadows.

One of the latest releases from Modulus is a winter beanie which I imagine a lot of people are putting on now with autumn starting to take hold. This hat is a combination with a few locks of hair escaping on both sides of the beanie. It fits great out of the package but I would recommend that you alpha your ears and scalp because those stick out originally but is a quick solution. This is definitely a combo that you could wear quite a bit in your photos going forward for those of you who treat the virtual world as you do the real one as far as seasons are concerned.

The beanie has an excellent build and texture and the locks of hair popping out do as well just like all of Modulus’ releases and this combo is no different and well worth your attention to check it out.

Modulus Jackson Hair features:

  • 100% original mesh (Beanie) & 100% original alpha nex-gen hair mesh
  • HUD to control fabric color of beanie (6 colors in all) + integrated color picker
  • 5 Hair Color HUD each with integrated color picker for extra customization
  • 40 Color FATPACK option also available
  • Exclusively @ FaMESHed until October 27th

The October round of Pose Fair has been a good challenge for me with trying out different things and seeing where my creativity takes me; it has also been a lot of fun as well. Vanity Poses released both a male and female pose pack as well as one pose with a prop as well as a couples pose. I took a keen interest in the “Yo” pose pack because I liked how the poses were set and the hand movements were something I liked as well and narrowed it down to choosing something I thought worked well for my mood as it seems my av is fidgeting with his hands as if upset by something.

I am intending to also post a few more male centric poses from the fair as well as I have been dabbling in other types to start out but this was one that caught my eye and am very glad that the scene turned out as I wanted it to.

Vanity Poses Yo Pose Pack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required to work properly)
  • 5 different poses to choose from
  • Mirrored versions of each pose also included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until October 31st!

Vanity Poses - Yo Bento Ad

For the last of my featured items in the blog I have the “Jason Polo Shirt” in the Classic Pack by Cold-Ash. One thing I can say about a polo shirt is that it is casual like a dress shirt but also comfortable like a t-shirt. The fit of this product is awesome and for the mesh bodies that sizes are included for it has auto hide so you don’t have to spend all your time clicking out parts of your body which when you are dressing in a hurry it’s definitely a good feature to have.

It’s a good shirt to wear with either your favorite jeans or slacks and with an assortment of colors to choose from finding the right look is hardly even a thing.

Cold-Ash Jason Polo Shirt features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • FATPACK includes HUD with 8 color choices
  • Single versions also available
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Geralt & Gianni) and SLink Physique male bodies
  • Exclusilvely available now @ The Men’s Dept until October 30th

The opening of this blog had a bit of heaviness in it as the theme was as well and I tend to do these blogs as it is a part of the life cycle as it were. There are many topics people face everyday and even if I haven’t experienced some of them personally, there are a few I have or someone close to me that I know has. Every blog is a conversation about something and there are topics that do make more appearances than others as it depends on what kind of items I have to work with that fit the theme.

Either before or after I’ve taken the photo I choose the soundtrack for the blog as a whole and that is essentially the process in which I work on a consistent basis while rarely deviating from it. There are times when I feel it’s necessary when I’m looking for input or just need that extra push to make something I feel is lacking the final touch to carry it over.

I appreciate those who come to the site whether it is for the pics or the styles themselves (I’ve honestly grown from being a male fashion blog though it is still my main focus whenever possible). If anything that’s been written here has been felt by someone just passing through and they can empathize or even when there is a post that is uplifting and it warms their soul…I am here for all of that.

These are my conversations, these are some of your conversations but in reality they are all our conversations.

[#533] Love Bites

Love bites, love bleeds
It’s bringin’ me to my knees
Love lives, love dies
It’s no surprise

Def Leppard, ♫Love Bites

For the last couple years in October and sometimes other months too (but more importantly October) I do a scene where I am a vampire. These are some of my favorite works because of how much I enjoy the lore of vampires. The best part about it is each story or world that is created with them in it has different sets of rules in which a vampire lives and the worst part is in some they sparkle (sorry Twilight fans).

There is likely not a vampire movie or show that I haven’t seen (yes even Twilight sadly) and if I haven’t seen it then I make sure that I do just so that I can see how things are represented. I might even consider myself a vampire snob when it comes to how they are portrayed and what traits they have where it comes to things like garlic, holy water etc…

At the Pose Fair this year, Extra has 4 different pose sets (Two single and two couples) that are a part of a series called “Love Bites”. It is for that reason I chose to theme my scene around the classic song of the same name by 80’s/90’s legends Def Leppard. Before I start sidetracking the four sets are named “Come Into The Night”, “Dark Desires” (which is featured in this blog), “Do Not Disturb” and “Midnight Snack”. These poses are really creative and for any fan of vampires like me any one of these sets will really get your undead juices flowing.

Extra Dark Desires Pose features:

  • Bento enabled pose (Bento viewere required for proper use)
  • Includes coffin prop
  • Exclusive @ Pose Fair until October 31st (Halloween!)

One of my favorite vampire novels of all time is “Interview With The Vampire” and while the film adaptation was slightly over the top (and I mean that Tom Cruise and his ruffled shirt was). I thought that since SpectacledChic released a facsimile of his shirt from the movie and have named it “Lestat” after one of the two main characters in the book/film.

It was hard to decide what color to choose as there is the original white from the film but the red and black colors were very inviting but I decided to stick with the cannon and honor the film this way. I like how my look came together and it wasn’t what I originally put together and I will get to that in a moment but first some details about this shirt.

SpectacledChic Lestat Blouse features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • 6 colors to choose from
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) male bodies
  • Exclusively @ Salem until October 31st! (Halloween!)

As I wrote about a moment ago my original look was slightly different than what you see now. The funny story behind it is that I ran out to an event to look at something that I thought might make my look better when out of the corner of my eye I saw a gentleman with almost the same exact look as I did (minus skin and maybe pants/shoes) and I liked the shirt too much to change that I decided to go with a different hair because at least that I knew that I didn’t have the look of someone else.

It is a good thing that recently Taketomi Club (which is a combination of both the Burley and Taketomi brands) released a new male hair called “Dorian” and if you are not familiar with the Taketomi Club I am more then happy to explain. There is a group fee to join (originally it was free but due to demand and many other factors the policy changed) but being a member of this group allows you to go to the Club room on the Designer Drive sim and there are Fatpacks of hair from each brand released at random with a starting price of 50 Lindens a pack and after two weeks the price goes up to 450 which is still a good bargain if you miss a release during it’s initial window.

With “Dorian” you get the entire color range and there are so many color HUDs to work with it’s mind blowing and you also get a styler HUD which allows you to choose which side you want your hair combed to. I felt this was too good of a deal to pass up and tell everyone about that might not know or may have forgotten about it.

Burley Dorian Hair FatPack features:

  • 100% original mesh (materials and regular version)
  • Multistyler HUD
  • 15 color HUDs included (240 colors total WOW!)
  • Available now for a limited time for 50L @ Taketomi Club

Before I wrap all this up I want to give a few honorable mentions for things that I’m not featuring due to being previous releases that are older than a month or stuff I’ve had for a while and just haven’t blogged. I’ll start with the CATWA Add-On teeth which helped make becoming a vampire for this photo much easier (and also made me look cooler) as well as the Le Form “Bloody Drops” applier which I found on the Marketplace (which is a lot of time a crap shoot trying to find exactly what you want).

This was a lot of fun for me to be able to play in the world of the creatures of the night and I likely will not do so again until next year (maybe make it a tradition like some of the others I have with the blog site?) Time for me to get back to the brainstorm board and figure out what’s next on my list of “to do’s”. Until our paths cross again, be well and treat others as you yourself want to be treated.

As for me it’s on to the next conversation…

[#531] I’ll Carry You

But you gotta hold on
You gotta be strong
Right here with me if it all goes wrong
To keep you from harm
Away in my arms
Steer you away from the storm

David Cook, ♫Carry You

For some people Autumn has arrived and for others it is approaching (there is a bit of a latent summer happening in my part of the woods). I thought that I might take one of the poses that is a part of Pose Fair and put it to good use as I visited Netherwood once again. I wasn’t sure if the wonderful sim was going to be around much longer so I did not want to waste another moment going there and getting this really intimate moment photographed.

Ardent Poses has several couples poses as a part of Pose Fair and they are all equally wonderful but I chose “Don’t Let Go” because it gelled with the soundtrack I chose for this blog post. Maybe I’m not exactly carrying but I am holding my lady close so that must count for something right? Plus I feel my main visual shot has elements from the song in it as well.

Ardent Poses Don’t Let Go features:

  • 2 person bento pose (bento viewer required to use properly)
  • Two different versions included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until October 31st

RKKN (a project from Keon Xenga of RK Poses Fame) has released a really great three-piece outfit at the September round of the Man Cave but as the event is now gearing up for October, I still wanted to wear this and knew this was the right setting to go with. I like the casual look of the shirt and how it tucks in nicely into the jeans along with the added waist shirt (one of my favorite accessories back in the grunge era).

I had to choose the colors that I thought suited me best because as much as I wanted to go crazy and get all the colors from each set, being a blogger on a budget made it not in the cards but the outfit I put together is not only me but I something I feel looks good on me and also in this photo.

One of the events I like because of the cultural aspect of it and also that fact that it has such cool things for sale, NEO Japan is something that everyone should check out even if you do it just to browse (but I can almost guarantee that you’ll leave with at least one thing); I’m also excited that Modulus the official hair of These Conversations Kill has a new release at the event.

“Ray” is an ear length hair with a small little spacing in the off center part of the forehead which with the provided mirroring hairs you can choose from left or right where you want the slight part to go. I decided to wear browns for this photo because it fit the autumn sort of feel of the scene because black did not feel right and blonde would get lost and possibly washed out.

All in all another solid effort on the part of Modulus to keep their hair game on point (as people say these days).

Modulus Ray Hair features:

  • 100% original Alpha Nex-Gen mesh
  • 5 different color HUDS with built in color picker for added customization
  • 40 color FATPACK also available
  • Exclusively @ NEO Japan until October 21st

Sometimes I run a bit long with my words if there’s a lot of featured items but with there only being two in this blog entry it will be an easy one to wrap up. If you get the chance to take a trip to Netherwood to explore I definitely implore you to do so as it is one of my favorite locations that I’ve shot plenty of scenes at during one point or another and with the scare of it possibly having shut down recently you never want to risk missing out on something wonderful.

Below is a taxi to Netherwood and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and without any further hesitation here is the style credits. Until our paths cross once more, onto the next conversation…
