[#596] Can’t Wait One Minute More

I need room to breathe I work for the goals that I set
Wasted time it weighs on my mind
You can bet

CIV, ♫Can’t Wait One Minute More

Hello again everyone! It’s been a few since I last posted and that isn’t normal (well normal for this year anyway) but I needed a little time to recharge and get back on track a little bit. I had most of this photo session set up for a few days before I actually settled down to shoot it but I knew that when I did it was going to be kind of a riot.

A little insight into this post is that the pose that I’m using by Image Essentials was actually an odd suggestion in a conversation with the store’s owner, Kay Weston. I don’t even know how it came about as a considerable amount of time has passed since that talk happened but I am pretty sure that it was just suggesting random pose ideas to be helpful and that was a weird one that happened to come to fruition.

“Party Aftermath” is every bit what it sounds like though I’m kind of using it in a different context in my scene but the same basic idea applies. I think in my case it’s more like my virtual self is looking at things like “Man I really gotta go and well the dog’s doing it why can’t I?” One thing I have to say is that I don’t promote public urination because it’s super unsanitary and you never know what you could be bringing home with you by posting up against a brick wall such as I am in this photo.

Moral of the story is…probably don’t try this at home!

Image Essentials – Party Aftermath 1 Pose & Prop

  • Bento compatible pose (must use Bento viewer)
  • Wet pall prop with built in pose
  • 3 different pose positions to choose from
  • Adjustable via clickable menu
  • Exclusive to the Truth or Dare Affair event until 02/28/19

This blog also contains items from The Men Jail event that I really think people might like including the “Jeon Sweatshirt” by ExalteD. Most of the time I’m not a fan of shirts or jackets where I’m not able to see my hands (because the style has hands in pockets and things of that nature) but this shirt changed my mind some with how it is really long and tied at the ends, which is something I used to do all the time in my younger years.

The FATPACK has really great color options (8 in all) which covers the usual core range of colors and not all men care about having tons of colors so I can say that these are definitely fine enough for the casual consumer that wants a choice but doesn’t desire a lot of it. Of course if just getting one color is the most appealing then it’s a good way to go with the single colors that are also for sale.

ExalteD – Jeon Sweatshirt

  • Original mesh
  • FATPACK available with HUD containing 8 colors
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Exclusive to The Men Jail until 02/28/19

Because of the angle of the main photo for the blog it was necessary for me to do a secondary shot that combined more closer looks of other products that cannot be as closely seen. Which brings me to the eyes I am wearing by Gloom which have the designation of the “Insta Collection”, these eyes are very detailed and when taking the close-up that was definitely the case I wanted to make to show you this brand is for real.

There are 8 selectable iris colors in this set that are for sale separately or can be purchased all together in a FATPACK to give you that right color at the right moment you need it. I do not change eyes all that often and I’ll be up front about it because unless it is an item from an event then usually my angles and photos don’t incorporate being that close to my face; if I am going to blog eyes I definitely go for ones that I really like otherwise what’s the point of it?

Gloom – Insta Collection Eyes

  • 8 iris colors via appliers (sold separately and as a FATPACK option)
  • Applier HUDs for CATWA, Genus and Omega
  • Exclusive to The Men Jail until 02/28/19

Also don’t adjust your eyes! My new ‘do is meant to try to match my top the best it possibly can and I think the Reds HUD that is a part of the “Mike Hair” by Modulus really makes an impression. I feel like the tone that I used within the applier pack really pops with the windlight I played around with to make sure that attention would be not only on the hair but also on the ExalteD sweatshirt.

I love the vibrant tone of this hair and it has that appearance like I could still possibly be drunk and randomly choosing a spot to pee and there happens to maybe be a dog following me and doing what it sees…there’s that possibility too but I’m going to remain tight lipped on that because I can’t reveal all my cards.

Medium type messy hair don’t care!

Modulus – Mike Hair

  • Original “nex-gen” alpha mesh
  • 5 individual color HUDs + integrated color picker
  • 40 color FATPACK also available
  • Left and right mirrored options included
  • Exclusive to Equal10 until 03/05/19

The last item I have on my featured list are the “Sobek Sneakers” by Native Urban. These are styled after one of my favorite sneaker brands of all time and I’m not going to properly name them because I don’t want to cause any issues but if you know anything about shoes then you’ll definitely recognize the style. These particular shoes are not exact to the real deal for obvious reasons but they are close and that makes me love them all the same; especially from one of my favorite brands.

I have other versions from other stores that are similar but the one things I can say about these is the absurd amount of customization that goes along with them; there is a way to color just about every single part of the shoe to make them absolutely your favorite sneaker. For longtime fans of Native Urban I know that you won’t be disappointed with these shoes because it doesn’t matter if you are a skater or just someone who likes low tops that are about as classic as they come, you’ll want to sport these out on the grid….I’ve been wearing them for several days already.

Native Urban – Sobek Sneakers

  • Original mesh
  • 15 customizable parts (FATPACK exclusive)
  • 17 colors (FATPACK exclusive)
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Exclusive to TMD until 02/28/19

I have to say this was definitely a longer blog than I intended but it’s been quite a few days since my last one so putting something this big together to kickstart everything was a necessity in my book. I covered a lot of ground from great stores and events which should at least get some of you hopefully out there before the weekend ends or at the start of the week.

On that note though I think it is definitely time to wrap this up and post it up so I can do a little promoting and also begin work on the next look and scene which I’ve yet to determine but I’ve slowly started to work on it. I’ll leave you all with the style info and perhaps I’ll run into you at Man Cave which just started today and I’ve seen some things that could have lots of potential.

Catch you all again very soon!

[#587] The Devil’s In The Next Room

Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up
Pick up the phone
You said it yourself you’re scared of being alone
You said it yourself that you can crack the code
But the static you hear automatically keeps you exposed on your own

Shinedown, ♫Devil

Not many television shows have had the longevity that Supernatural has had for the last 14 years. It is one of my favorite shows and that fact they can still keep my attention this long tells me that they are doing something right. I’ve started some shows in the past that I never ended up finishing (The Vampire Diaries which I was gladly able to pick back up on Netflix). The adventures that the brothers Winchester go on are very exciting no matter what they or their acquintances (friends and family as well) get into.

I have done several posts displaying my fandom for the show from the perspectives of Sam & Dean as well as done on where I had a friend play Castiel. However, not once did I ever think about doing something that pays homage to one of the many antagonists on the show: the demons. During my post processing I had an issue where the black smoke I wanted coming out of the meat suit (the vessel the demon is hiding out in as referenced by the show). It was too dark so I decided to go with red, which man of the higher ups in the demon world have when “smoking out” of a vessel. Notably Crowley and I believe Lucifer himself have displayed the crimson version to my knowledge. There have probably been others but having been on the air for 14 seasons (and rewatching them from the beginning would take forever) it is easy to forget things.

Pose Fair ends tonight and I am hoping this is the equivalent of going out with a bang. I’ve enjoyed this tremendously and am likely going to take a day or so break from posting to recharge (maybe) before I start to see things from the February special edition for Valentine’s goes into effect. I would like to thank Ruby and Jason (as well as everyone else behind the scenes) for creating such an awesome environment to blog for. It is an honor to have been chosen by you for this event and I cannot express how much it means to me.

Getting down to it my last pose is from CORPUS Poses and is easily enough called “Him”. It is a varied set of standing and a sitting pose and one of them happened to be one where I am looking up which was perfect to get in just the right angle where I could simulate a demon vacating my avatar with a little bit of help from the LeLutka face hud (the facial expressions are not a part of the pose just to let you know). There are five poses to this set in all and they are all really usable in just about any situation you can think of.

To take a catchphrase from another show “TREAT YOSELF” and stop by the Pose Fair one more time or for the first time before it ends tonight. Your photography will thank you for it and that is something I can genuinely guarantee.

Corpus Poses – Him Pose Set

  • Bento enabled pose (bento viewer needed)
  • 5 different poses to choose from
  • Static poses for you to put in your own poseballs or pose stands
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair until 01/26/19 (Ends tonight so hurry!!!!)

For this blogs style, I decided on casual while combining and older release with a brand new one. My shirt comes from Deadwool and is called “Lorenzo”; it is a tucked in button down with shirt underneath. It’s one of those pieces of clothing I like to revisit and it just happens to pair up well with the “Roll Up Pants” by Native Urban which just hit the racks  at Uber a few days ago.

Gentleman if you like dress up style pants with a bit of a roll up cuff at the bottom then these are definitely your new jam. While single color options can be nice I can only stress how much of a value it is to get the complete FATPACK and give yourself many options to allow for pairing it with about any of the shirts in your virtual closets. To be able to change parts of it such as the belt, the pants and even the slight little bit of boxer shorts poking out I can’t find a better reason not to go all in.

Native Urban – Roll Up Pants

  • Original mesh
  • Single options sold seprately
  • FATPACK includes HUD to change 7 parts (14 colors available)
  • Fitted for Signature (Gianni) and Maitreya (Lara) for the ladies
  • Currently exclusive to Uber until 02/23/19

On that note I think it is time to finish this up with giving you all the style information that pertains to this look and of course if there is something here that you see that you are interested in that is not listed then first check my Credits page which lists what head, skin, and body that I am presently wearing on a consistent basis. If it is anything else then get a hold of me through social media or by email which is on my about page.

Time to go celebrate all the creativity I’ve had with the Pose Fair and maybe relax with some games and time with great people. I will catch everyone again hopefully very soon but until then be well and start a conversation and keep it going.

Best regards,

B

[#570] I’m Coming Home

Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes

Skylar Grey, ♫Coming Home (Part II)

It’s been another inspiring day for me as I am writing this blog post and thinking about all the different places I’ve lived on the grid either as a teenager with my folks or through various relationships to currently with my lovely wife. Each one regardless of what kind of memories are attached to them are a part of me and will always be a part of me when I look back at my virtual time overall.

Right now I’m writing this as I’ve had to say goodbye to the lovely home I had on the Mesmeric sim for personal reasons we needed to part from it as much as we adored it and both Yoshi and Duckie, whom we were renting from. We were friends before becoming tenants and despite us going I am still going to drop by and say Hello to show them how much I appreciate them and their friendship.

The photo for the blog today is the last one I took as a tenant of Mesmeric, but for those who are into beautiful scenery for photography and easy people to rent from then I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting this site looking for a place to call home. In the 3-4 months I lived there, I enjoyed not only having some fun moments but also managed to get some really great photos that I used in entries for this site.

It is never easy to say goodbye to something but I know I speak for Brenna as well when I say that we truly loved being a part of this gorgeous place and look forward to seeing it continue to prosper as time goes by. Much love to the hard work that Yoshi and Duckie put into maintaining all of it, we adore the both of you and know we’ll miss it dearly.

For those blog I’ve got a double dose of Native Urban which consists of a recent release and a current still in event release. I will start with the most recent one as it is part of the Dec/Jan round of Uber and comes in the form of the “MKJ Sneakers” which any time Native Urban puts out new shoes I know that I’m going to enjoy figuring out how to style them because the All Colors packs are just chock full of ways to color the various parts of the shoe.

This time I decided to make it easy on myself and coordinate it with the colors in the “Drift” Jacket which also has just about as many ways to style it as the shoes. I likely spent over 20 minutes playing around until I got the right color swatches and match everything up. Coordinating outfits tends to be a lot easier than introducing a tone of different colors into a photo via clothing.

The Jacket also has emblems on it in different spots (sleeve, left breast plate, and the hood) that can be turned on and off as well as an inner shirt that can also be made invisible if desired but seeing as how I’m doing an outdoors pic and I’m not a liquored up crazy person (right now anyway) I made sure to leave the shirt as is.

Native Urban MKJ Sneakers:

  • Original mesh
  • Single color options available for sale
  • 12 customizable parts with 20 colors (FATPACK Only)
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Exclusively @ Uber until 01/23/19

Native Urban Drift Jacket:

  • Original Mesh
  • Single color options for sale (with HUD for Hoodie/Shirt)
  • 9 customizable parts with 20 colors (FATPACK only)
  • Stickers have On/Off feature
  • Fitted for Signature (Gianni)
  • Available now @ Native Urban’s main location

I wanted to make sure that when I started doing blogs with items from Pose Fair that I hit it hard and I am off to a slightly slower start than I might have anticipated but I know that I’m going to catch up quick and hard with lots of great poses that will get my mind kicking more into overdrive then it usually already is; besides I took a few days off to recharge after posting several days straight which hasn’t happened since October but things are steady and I’m on a roll so believe me when I say it is just the beginning.

My last blog featured one of the sponsors for the event so I wanted to shine a light on another sponsor of the event. Most are familiar with the Luanes World sims which are highly popular for their ease of use for photography and being able to create stunning shots but the owner also creates poses as well which I’ve made use of here in the past as well.

“Do You Remember” which is a singles pose (that comes in the form of both a male and a female version) is a very nice pose that I would say is one that relies on reflection, a reason that picking it for this blog was important to me as at the beginning of the blog I myself was reflecting upon my time living on the Mesmeric sim.

LW Poses – Do You Remember:

  • Bento enabled pose (Bento viewer required)
  • Static and poseball versions included
  • Mirrored versions also in package
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

Personally I cannot think of any pose for this scene that I could have chosen that would have been better than this one; it helps me get across the message I want to relay (at least to me I think it does). This isn’t meant to be a sad moment, nor really a happy moment but borderlining more on bittersweet perhaps. Change happens and we may like it or we may not but it is inevitable.

On that note I shall end this by exiting with the credits and sending out positive vibes to all my fellow conversationalists.

Much love,

B

[#560] You’re Not Alone

You’re not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
You will live to tell

You’re not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out

Saosin, ♫You’re Not Alone

Many virtual bloggers are using holiday tunes as themes to coincide with their posts and while sometimes I do that (and likely will before it’s all said and done) I decided to take a trip in the music time machine about 12 years to a time when I was able to listen to an internet radio show by one of my friends out East on his College campus.

Those were good times and I walked away with a lot of good tunes and diverse music from the time; one of the bands that I recall hearing on the show was Saosin. The song just seemed one of those that was meant to help uplift and inspire people who might be down and at that time I really didn’t feel like I do some days now but it helped remind me now why I liked the song. I liked it so much that I did a lot of searching to find the CD it was from (it was a bit hard to find but luckily I managed to locate it at a resale shop which are just about extinct today).

“You’re Not Alone” taught me that you could be having a really crappy day, week, or maybe even possibly year but there’s going to be someone (and that someone may be from a place you’d least expect) that cares and will help you see the brighter side and knowing that waking up the next day is completely worth it.

Years have gone by and since lost contact with my friend but there is something invaluable about a friendship bonded by music and it may be that we ended up on different paths and made other valuable friends I for one am glad to have made his acquaintance and who knows maybe we’ll come across one another in cyberspace once again.

There is still time to shop the December round of FaMESHed and one of the good finds there is the “Simon Hat & Hair” by Modulus. The flat cap is a classic form of headwear that has been a part of fashion for many years (for longer then I’ve been around). Modulus has produced a well made and well textured cap along with some stray locks of hair flowing from the front which definitely caught my attention.

Modulus is certainly the hair store to go to for anyone that likes hair combined with hats of different types, as there have been a newsboy cap, some beanie releases as well as snapback caps in both front and backwards styles. These combined with regular releases that vary in length from short to long as well as newer styles with mirrored versions make Modulus one of THE places to get cutting edge hair styles now and for years to come.

Modulus Simon Hat & Hair:

  • 100% orginal nex-gen alpha mesh
  • 5 color packs + integrated color picker
  • HUD included that with 10 hat textures to choose from
  • Exclusively @ FaMESHed until 12/27/18

One thing that is for certain is with this being the time of year where clothing makers on the grid release jackets and coats the outside winter photo is a given. I am pretty sure that this year I’ve taken more than I have over the course of my blogging career but with many sims being seasonal it makes finding a different location to take pics at easy to do.

Native Urban now has in their store the “Hexagon Jacket” that I relate more to being a parka with how it is styled but I think how these things are classified is well above my level of awareness. I just know that this style is very comfortable in the real world and able to keep those pixels warm just as well. With the all colors pack at my disposal I was able to play around with the style until I decided on what you see in the above full scene portrait.

I am quite fond of the special winter sweater textures that come with the complete set of colors; it makes me feel a bit more festive which is probably something that might surprise those who know me well.

Native Urban Hexagon Jacket:

  • Original mesh construction
  • Single colors available with 19 shirt/sweater options
  • All Colors pack contains HUD with 8 custom faces with 19 colors
  • Signature Gianni compatible only
  • Available now at the Native Urban in-world location

Hermanni Laville is back with a vengeance after not only collaborating with Tonk Tomcat of TonkTastic but also releasing the “Eyes of the Beholder” last month at TMD (which he’s since updated with even more colors in the line). Now he’s getting back to doing one of the things besides clothing that I fondly remember him for before a bit of a break going off the grid.

The “Mario Facial Hair” is a CATWA branded set that has three different styles and comes with both a dark applier as well as a tintable one for those of us that desire to have facial hair that is more than just standard black. For the male aesthetic I definitely give this high marks considering I fancy myself is a connoisseur of virtual beards.

I’m not exactly sure what is in store for the Hermony brand but if these latest releases are any indication I look forward to what’s to come in 2019!

Lastly I want to encourage any and all to visit “Luane’s Magical World” which hosts the winter wonderland that I was parked at to take the photos for this blog post. It’s pretty nice to just walk around at and it’s honestly quite peaceful and for someone who very rarely gets around other than to shoot photos I definitely think others should see the joys of what I witness.

I likely have at least one more blog post in me before Christmas Eve or Christmas Day but when that’ll be posted is anyone’s guess but I’m going to try and get it worked on as soon as I possibly can because the idea I have requires me to do some scene building of my own and I am self admittedly a terrible decorator and or scene creator.

Onto the credits and another blog post in the books and I hope that I’ve left the blogosphere just a little bit better today then it was yesterday. Onto the next…

[#553] Snow (Hey Oh)

Went to descend to amend for a friend all the channels that have broken down.
Now you bring it up, I’m gonna ring it up – just to hear you sing it out.
Step from the road to the sea to the sky, and I do believe what we rely on,
When I lay it on, come get to play it on
All my life to sacrifice

Red Hot Chilli Peppers, ♫Snow (Hey Oh)

Now with it being December I felt like maybe now is a good time that I do some wintery photos and this is the start of that. After scouting several locations I stumbled upon SNOW FALLS at the Hrodas Fen sim. I’m not super huge on snow or winter because of the reality that I deal with on a consistent basis and lends to a lack of wanting to take these kinds of photos.

I feel like it is too early for me to start doing any kind of Christmas stuff yet as I would limit myself to the kind of songs I would use to base a blog on. This blog I decided to go with something super simple to correspond with the elements of the scene and “Snow (Hey Oh)” by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers works great for me as the sim is covered in the white powder.

Knowing the band though it’s probably a metaphor for something but I’m just going to stick with my interpretation.

Focusing singularly on one product I went with the “Tokyo Jacket” by Native Urban which is a hooded sweatshirt paired up with a jacket. This is a kind of style I would definitely use out in the real world because a lot of the time I live in these kind of sweatshirts and wear a jacket on top of them. The All Colors pack which is what I’m blogging has so many crazy customizations that I could go a long time without wearing the same style twice.

The way I styled the jacket was to give the appearance that I took the arms off of the jacket and wore it with the hooded sweatshirt to give the appearance that it was a vest; I like how it turned out and feel like it was a good move to show that with the HUD on the All Colors pack you can make these kind of things happen. It was a release at November’s TMD but I missed the cut on it but fear not it can be found at the Native Urban store as a recent release.

Native Urban Tokyo Jacket All Colors features:

  • Original mesh
  • 10 custom faces with 21 different colors in HUD
  • Logos can be turned on and off
  • Hood Add-On allows for both up and down versions
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) male bodies
  • Maitreya version also included for the ladies
  • Available now @ the Native Urban in-world location and marketplace

I paired the jacket with the Slim Fit Jeans in Indigo by the ::K:: brand along with the latest group gift pose set by Chat Noir. I was excited when I learned about the new gift as I really enjoy working with Chat Noir’s poses they tend to bring out about some good photos for me and I’m honestly proud of what I’ve accomplished with this one for being a winter picture (I don’t feel like I excel at them truthfully).

Lastly the beard I am wearing is a random find through Flickr of a brand called “f u o e y”. The style of the beard is just what I like and even though it is a new brand I thought I would give it a try and see if I can shine a little bit of a light on them so other guys who may like the same kind of things I do would be interested as well. It is for CATWA and Omega and comes with two versions with black or tintable options.

Hopefully this brand will produce other great beards and the store takes off which I hope I have success and a lengthy stay on the grid. Nothing is guaranteed of course but it’s always something to hope for to see someone do well.

This was more fun than maybe I anticipated but I will say that it is time for me to take my virtually frozen rear inside for some hot cocoa and start to pull together ideas for my next entry which will likely feature items from The Men Jail which opens for the December round this weekend. I wish the best for anyone who has found this site or for those who frequently come here. I truly do this for more than just myself because I hope to connect people to new brands as well as those who appreciate art.

Until I am back again with something new it’s onto the next conversation!

[#545] No Recess

Won’t you believe it
It’s just my luck…

Nirvana, ♫School

I am noticing now that with streamlining how much I feature in blogs has not only helped keep my thoughts fresh but my creativity on level where I expect it should be at. Another thing that I have also been doing is finishing posts later in the evening and setting them to post the next day and all I have to do is finish promoting them to social media (which has also helped).

Many of the items in this blog are carry overs from things I’ve purchased from events that have long been over (though none of them are from brands I represent) along with one new item that is and can be found currently at Uber.

Small bit of insight into creating this idea is I have done a few scenes that have pertained to high school or school in general but this time I turned it up just one more notch and with the help of “School” by Nirvana which is one of their songs before they hit the big time (it is on their first album “Bleach”) with simple lyrics but it hits the point.

By the time you reach high school and the start to feel some of the pressures of becoming an adult you realize the days of having recess and fun times are behind you. Then that time hits after you’ve graduated and you’re an adult and see social interactions between people and they fail to act their age and makes you feel like you’re back in high school.

In my school days I wasn’t popular or a sports hero of any kind I stayed under the radar and was friendly with just about anyone but didn’t overstep in circles I didn’t belong in (nor did I want to belong in a specific group). For this look however I found myself wearing the “Ethan College Jacket” by ExalteD and even though it has college in its title it fits more with the high school setting as it is essentially a letterman’s jacket. The jacket only comes in sizes for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) but the advice I would give (which I rarely ever take) is to grab a demo before purchase just to be on the safe side.

Then I threw on the quickest pair of jeans that I had access too as that is the standard high school wardrobe. The Deadwool “Broberry” jeans that I have the washed pack version of works in a pinch just about every time which leads me to the final piece of the outfit puzzle….

Native Urban’s most recent sneaker release “Another 1” is a great low-top sneaker and reminiscent to a classic shoe from a brand I’m not going to speak the name of for likely legal purposes (and because it isn’t a 100% facsimile). The custom options in the fatpack are more than well worth it when you break down how many different combinations you can manage with it as well as it would offset the cost of more than one single pair if that was in consideration.

Usually I do not keep the tag visible in my photos but for fun I thought it would be something different to give a better look at an option I don’t normally show. The fact that it can be colored differently as well just raises the cool factor for virtual sneakerheads out there (I consider myself one of those but that’s not anything new).

Native Urban Another 1 Sneaker features:

  • Original mesh
  • Unisex
  • 14 customizable parts with 17 colors (FATPACK Only)
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Exclusively @ Uber until November 23rd

Back in March there was an event honoring the anniversary of The Breakfast Club movie (I blogged a few items from it that I liked) but I had bought this Classroom set from Anxiety and I hadn’t found a purpose for it yet and while the original idea that I had for it was probably a little bit better I think that how I put this scene together works for the mood that I was after.

There were a lot more accessories from this set I could have (and should have) put out but I didn’t want to over clutter but I’m hearing some of my decor blogger friends scolding me a little in my mind which makes me laugh a little bit considering decor is not my world and I certainly couldn’t do it on the level many of my fellow bloggers can; I’ll stick to what I know I excel at but maybe one day way down the road I can give it a more serious try.

After my last post I realize that one of things I need to work on more is how to sign off on a blog post as I am confident mostly about how I start and the flow of things throughout the middle go well but when I get to the end I just feel that what comes out is lacking. It’s probably something I should discuss a little bit in detail with those closest with me to see if there is an easier solution because right now it is not a strong suit.

Coming up in the next blog (subject to change of course) I think I’m going to work with something from The Men’s Jail and I have a feeling it could go over well but we’ll see.

I‘m going to sign off on this post and I will be back soon for another conversation.

[#536] Will It Bury Me?

If I fall again, will it be the end?
I know it’s wrong
You think I’m strong but I just pretend
Is it taking over?
Will it bury me?
Or will clarity become the cure for my disease?

With a little under two weeks to go until my favorite day of the year, I’m doing another Halloween inspired scene. I shot this with a horror survival video game in mind (I didn’t have a specific one in mind because there are many good ones) with the idea that my avi is traversing through a prison where all sorts of no good is taking place.

Largely this idea came together quickly when the “Cell Block Massacre” backdrop by Paparazzi hit the Limit8 event; luckily for everyone that it is not a limited item because I know that it would easily have become sold out in no time by like-minded artists such as myself to try their hand at creating stunning images. The ambiance of the item itself combined with the right windlight will create wanted results and that is everything you want in a well made backdrop like this and I could go on and on but I think that would be too much.

Paparazzi Cell Block Massacre Backdrop features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Built in lighting
  • High quality textures
  • Exclusively (but not limited) @ Limit8 until November 13th

From time to time I like to have my hair be a different color and I mean in one that is not a natural tone and I’ve done that here by using the Vibrants HUD on the “Luke Hair” from Modulus. Coordinating with the color of my pants that I’ll be detailing shortly I decided on going with a red to match the overall feel to my survival horror idea.

If I were asked to describe this style I would say it’s much like a mohawk but without the spike style (so it could even be a fauxhawk). I’ve seen this style on many major league baseball players over the last few seasons so it is growing in popularity in pop culture and sports. This is certainly another excellent product from the Alpha Nex-Gen Hair line that Modulus is known for.

Modulus Luke Hair features:

  • 100% original Alpha Nex-Gen Mesh
  • 5 color packs to choose from
  • Each pack contains 8 bases tones + integrated color pick HUD
  • 40 tone FATPACK also available
  • Exclusively @ FaMEShed until October 27th

Native Urban has been releasing quite a lot of footwear the last few months which is not a bad thing because they are all quality products but for The Men’s Department this month they have gone the extra mile and I’m excited about it. The “Groove Pants” are a skinny leg pant with decorative ropes on the right leg and a pocket on the left.

For anyone who is a FATPACK addict there is a lot of customization to these pants and you can easily change out any part of the pants with a color of your choice making it your own personal style whatever it may be in whatever moment you want. It was tough deciding on a color scheme for the pants but I went with what I was most comfortable with and went with a darker red with dark gray and white accents (rope and pocket).

The detail in these pants make them unique to anything I’ve seen lately and makes them stand out in the sea of jeans and slacks that are on the shelves in stores and events. You don’t want to miss on out these so hop over to TMD the first chance you get!

Native Urban Groove Pants features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Rope only included in FATPACK or by joining Store Group
  • 7 customizable parts with 21 colors to choose from
  • Exclusively @ TMD until October 31st!

Most I think are familiar with WetCat Poses as many people use them in their compositions (I myself have plenty of times) so I gladly am featuring one of their pose packs from Pose Fair. There are two different sets of “Amiec” poses but I went with the first as I feel like it worked well with the scene I was putting together to photograph.

This pose set has several different versions of each pose to accomodate for various things such as body shape which I think is pretty cool that a designer would be as considerate to make it easier for everyone that are using the poses to not have to fix or adjust so much while in the process of trying to capture the right photo in the right angle as well.

You can get your WetCat fix with all of their exclusives at the Pose Fair, it’s still going strong so there’s no excuse for you not to check it out if you haven’t already.

WetCat Poses Amiec Set1 Pose Pack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento capable viewer required to work properly)
  • 4 poses to chose from
  • 3 versions of each pose
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair until October 31st

Last but not lease I am wearing a tattoo and while I do not do that all that often (even though I try to find ways) I really thought this “Distortion” Tattoo from Urban street felt like it would help tell a story of perhaps a prisoner who seems to be stuck in the middle of a zombie virus and has to maneuver his way through the prison to try and seek a manor of escape to survive.

There are all sorts of scenarios I could have run with it but that’s just one of the few that spitballed out of my head while I was putting my look together. The tattoo is cool and felt it gave my look more of an edge than it would have had I not had it on.

UrbanStreet Distortion Tattoo features:

  • Unisex Tattoo
  • Applier HUDs for Omega, Signature and TMP bodies
  • 3 Different Tones (Dark, Light and Middle)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until October 28th

Now that I have covered all the things I wanted to feature it makes me kind of want to play a survival horror game but at the time of night that I am writing this it is not very likely because I have enough crazy dreams as it is to add on to it by playing something with hordes of the undead chasing me around every corner. Though I am starting to put together my next look and idea so I feel like I am ending this on a good note.

Hope everyone has a excellent weekend and until our paths cross again, it’s onto the next conversation…
