[#626] At The Car Wash

Working at the car wash
Working at the car wash, yeah
Come on and sing it with me, car wash
Sing it with the feeling now, car wash yeah

Rose Royce, ♫Car Wash♫

Even if the weather hasn’t been as cooperative as I’d like, I know that I can jump to the virtual world and enjoy throwing together a scene with summer vibes. Pretty soon around the corner all the guys will be in shorts and tank tops and the girls will be in their bikini’s at the beach so what’s better than having a bit of fun with a car wash?

You can find just about everything that could be thought of at Pose Fair much like the “Get Wet 02” couples pose by CuCa Designs and “East Side Parking Lot Backdrop” from IlluZion. CuCa Designs released several different compatible pose sets to go with the backdrop for the event. Summer fun can be easily kicked off with any of the sets but I really thought this pose that Brenna and I are using was a lot of fun.

I probably look not very enthusiastic about getting sprayed with water but we had a lot of fun so that’s what matters isn’t it?

CuCa Designs – Get Wet 02

  • Bento static couples pose
  • Adjustable by built in script
  • Mesh hose rezzes upon use by both avatars
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair until 05/25/19

IlluZion – East Side Parking Lot Backdrop (Wet)

  • Original Mesh Build
  • Dry version also available
  • Car can be color changed via click (many colors to choose from)
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair until 05/25/19

Man Cave is still open until this weekend which gives all you guys time to give it a look and one of the cool things you’ll find their is a new ‘do by lock&tuft called “David”. It’s a short length that is just long enough to have a few splayed wisps which is a change from the longer styles I had been wearing in several of my last couple posts.

A lot of the time I don’t step out of my usual color comfort zone but I am this time by choosing a more golden blonde tone that I was easily able to match my beard with. It’s not a requirement mind you but I generally at least like my hair and beard to look similar (Eyebrows are a bit tougher to get exactly right so those stayed as they were).

lock&tuft – David

  • Original Mesh
  • Resize script built into hair
  • 5 color HUDS with dozens of colors
  • Man Cave Exclusive until 05/11/19

Some notes for the rest of the non feature specific items for this blog that are new include the new Longline Tanktop by Tonktastic that I grabbed while I was at the Anthem event. Finding excellent fitting and stylish clothing from this store is like a snap and I really like the praying skeleton design with the stars (it also doesn’t hurt that it’s in monotone colors which is kinda my thing). For those of you who picked up the recent hoodie collab with Hermony, there is a really affordable add-on with the longline tanktop so you can add your shirts to the HUD for even more wear-ability.

A new pair of low top sneakers from Semller have also hit the shelves of The Men’s Department, I didn’t necessarily have these in my budget but I made an acception to get the full package because of all the different options it had and the amount of faces that could be recolored by the included HUD. One of my fave options about them is that you can wear them with the laces out or tucked in which helps with various styles of jeans. This is definitely something I’d like to see more designers doing because I have not seen much of it (and if there are a lot of products out there of that type then I am likely very blind! Haha)

Brenna has a few new things as well which I’m sure the ladies might like to hear about. For those that are members of TRUTH’s VIP group there are two new VIP styles one of which is on the wall in the store and the other is in the group itself as an attachment for a limited amount of time. “Horizon” is the limited time hair that you can get in the group notices and is a full pack with every color and different style variations in the hair. For those not in their group there is a minimal fee to it but for the amount of perks you get it’s well worth it and you can trust me on it.

The bikini Brenna is wearing is new to FaMESHed this month by Baiastice. The Aura Bikini is definitely hot enough to melt asphalt and maybe I’m not really supposed to say that but I truly don’t care as I appreciate the detail and the features that this item has. Each color/pattern variation has a dry or wet sheer version in the package so it definitely works either way for a day at the beach or even the car wash.

I always enjoy taking photos with Brenna as they are always a lot of fun; they also turn out well too!

[#616] Alcohol

I thought that Alcohol was just for those with
nothing else to do
I thought that drinking just to get drunk
was a waste of precious booze

Barenaked Ladies, ♫Alcohol♫

Seems like I am on a small bit of a roll again or I managed to find something that worked right when I needed it. The Saturday Sale can be a predominantly female thing but if you dig deep enough you can find some great gems for the guys too. This past weekend I was able to cash in on the super awesome “Lucky Lounge” bar/stripclub/etc backdrop so that I could do a scene with myself walking away from it like a hot mess. *laughs* It kind of looks like I’ve had a bit too much.

If I continue to come up with ideas that have drinking or alcohol involved I’m going to eventually run out of songs. It seems that there are a lot of poses or props around these days that involve some type of liquid encouragement but hey it’s all about having fun and at least this way nobody is getting hurt (well at least I hope not).

The Saturday Sale may now be over and you’d likely have to get this awesome prop at regular cost but I assure you that it is well worth it (every last bit). There’s more background things involved in the scene but I was able to create an angle where I didn’t have to worry about it and you also did not have to see all of the things in the background that would have ruined the illusion.

Man Cave still has some time left and for you guys if you have not been to this round I don’t know what you’re waiting for. This blog is featuring two of many rockin stores the event houses under one roof. I’m going to start off with my hair (which is the “Hannibal” by lock&tuft) that works extremely well for the visual. It’s a bit fly away and has a slight mess to it to coincide with my avi just leaving the bar.

Two versions come with this hair, there is the slightly messy version that I’m wearing and a straight version along with a complete line of great hair tones to choose from. Having lots of choices is something every blogger enjoys having and I made sure that I chose a hair that would work well with the darker background scene.

Tonktastic and Hermony have been a great collaborating team for a long time and they’ve come together this time to bring us a hoodie that really kicks ass. There are so many great features that this release has including a HUD that allows you to place your hands in the pockets or keep them out or set it up to do a mix of both.

Also for anyone who owns their previous collaborations (Cotton Tee, Crewneck or Jersey) the designs and graphics from those HUDs will work on the add-ons with the hoodie. So There are so many different style combinations you can roll with and never wear the same combination twice. It makes me happy that these giants have found a way to integrate their previous releases with the current one. Word is that they are churning out another batch of these hoodies for April’s round of TMD so that’s even more hoodie fun!

lock&tuft – Hannibal

  • Original mesh
  • Two different versions
  • 5 different color tone packs
  • FATPACK also available
  • Exclusive to Man Cave until 04/11/19

Tonktastic & HERMONY – Hoodie

  • Exclusive to Man Cave until 04/11/19

Now that I’ve reached the end of my thoughts on the items I’m wearing and have used in this scene I can gab for just a little bit about my selection for the soundtrack of the post. Barenaked Ladies have always been one of those quirk and fun rock bands that you find yourself listening to that makes you smile or laugh. I thought the track “Alcohol” was very fitting and also added a not so serious element to things too as I don’t play pranks or tricks on April Fool’s Day…I just prefer to perhaps make myself look like one on virtual camera.

The quizzical look upon my avi’s face may not be able to be seen but believe me it is there and I’m also wondering what was I reaching for? Does the hoodie have inside pockets or was I scratching an itch? I don’t really know to be honest so it is up for interpretation. All in all I had fun with it and it allowed me to play around with scenery even though most of the time I’m not at all good at it.

I’m going to use this moment to drop my style information below and let everyone view this either as they are going to bed or waking up (possibly somewhere in between there). Time for me to drop this like it’s hot and wind down for the night as Tuesday’s are usually my busiest day so look for my next post somewhere around Wednesday or Thursday.

Catch you all on the flip!

[#581] A Conspiracy

Can you tell me wrong from right
Do you know when to freeze or take flight
Can you tell me more or less
I got to know-confess

The Black Crowes, ♫A Conspiracy

Sometimes starting blogs this late in the day could turn out interesting. I say that because the later in the day it gets the less razor sharp my mind is and I’ve determined that a lot of my blog writings tend to be rambles and I apologize for that. I’ve also been thinking about the way in which I’m writing as well and weighing the pros and cons of how to address certain things.

At times when I am writing I feel like I have an audience but using the word “you” bugs me for some reason. It runs along the same lines as using the world sponsor and yes the brands that I blog for are essentially sponsoring me by allowing me to feature their products in my blog but it just seems impersonal to me. Why I seem to dislike using “you” as a form of acknowledging readers is something I should take a more in depth look at.

I believe that I can get better at doing these write-ups without making them sound as if they drone on over and over potentially losing the audience I am trying to connect with. Bare with me while I continue to work all of this out and I appreciate everyone’s support in not only helping me become better as a photographer but also a writer. I will resume using the term “you” again to see how it goes and if I decide it is not working for me then I will continue on with the way I have addressed people before using the third person method.

Last night during a brainstorming session, I was thinking of the music of artists that I have not used before or sparingly used as soundtracks when it dawned upon me that I have given very little attention to The Black Crowes. Their music holds good memories for me as I recall spending time with my real life brother listening to them and it was always a good time no matter what music we listened to, however, it gave me a greater appreciation of different types of music.

Their brand of southern rock was something that as a younger man may or may not have played air guitar to (that was a big thing back then so laugh if you must!) I remember even getting the cd that this song is on and the pressing of it I have is one which the cover had been modified as the original one was taken from a cover of Hustler magazine (for those of you and I doubt there are many are uninitiated is a dirtier version of playboy). Of course I did not realize this until a long time after but it didn’t make any difference to me.

The music is what mattered the most.

My look for this blog is comprised of what I feel best resembles The Black Crowes frontman, Chris Robinson’s appearance in the video for “A Conspiracy”. Call it a combination of The Crow meets The Serpent and The Rainbow, gothic in nature so I put on some guyliner, black lipstick and painted my nails to create a look that is close enough.

X.T.C PoSes’s “I Don’t F@#k Wit You” is the pose set featured in today’s post; the attitude these poses bring is the precise mood I want to display. Coming up with the idea to use the nostalgic television “Standby” as my backdrop for added effect is a nice touch as well. Five poses make up this set and I used two different ones between the photos I have taken.

There have been many good single male poses for the Pose Fair but truthfully this particular one has been the most fun to photograph. I have become more of a fan of X.T.C PoSes as time has gone on and look forward to having an opportunity to feature them again in the near future; I would also like to mention that there is also another single male pose pack exclusively at the event as well.

Check it out because I’m sure you’ll be glad you did!

As a blogger I get to discover new stores all the time but it is also nice when I find something I like from one that I have not worn in a long time. For example I cannot remember the last time I wore something from Breath. It is a store that I would consider myself a fan of because they cater more to a dark style of clothing (staying within the monotone range).

The thing to do now before events open (if access to the outer area of an event is possible) is to use your camera to look inside to browse items that have already been put up for sale; it’s a great way to beat some of the rush and also full regions (such a pain!) Breath’s latest outfit caught my eye because of the pocket chain that attaches to the pants as well as the abstract design on the style I am wearing. I knew I needed to have it and at the time I did not know what type of photo I would take wearing it but the timing worked out great.

Breath – SPset (B+HAND GARA)

  • Original mesh
  • Included chain add-on
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Geralt & Gianni)
  • Exclusive to Man Cave until 02/11/19

The long hair I have on is “Aaron” by Vango. When I tend to have my hair longer like that for photos or just every day wandering this is my first go to unless I choose to wear something with a hat for outdoors (winter) photos. It’s one of my favorite styles that I know won’t let me down whenever I use it. Also the guyliner I mentioned at the beginning of the blog is a part of the “Ian” skin HUD by Session Skins and the lipstick/fingernails a part of the CATWA and Signature Gianni body HUDs respectively.

On that note I am at a spot in the blog I feel comfortable ending on. I have a few more days with items from Pose Fair that ideas keep running through my head so I’m going to take advantage of it the best I can (which means possibly doing a female single post as well for a change). Once the big Pose Fair finishes the February pop-up Valentine’s Edition starts the second week which before I likely would not have been excited about but I admit that I am looking forward to it…what a difference a year makes.

Warm regards (especially to those of you in the path of the winter vortex),

[#564] What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

Maybe it’s much too early in the game
But I thought I’d ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year’s
New Year’s eve?

Harry Connick Jr., ♫What Are You Doing New Years Eve?

For the past several years I’ve been able to manage posting one last blog before I run off to celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends and family. This year like any year has had it’s fair share of ups and downs from creative blockages to finding out people were not who I thought they were. On the other side of the spectrum I was nominated for an esteemed award in the blogging community that I never imagined I would but most importantly though I reconnected with one of the most special people I’ve ever met and now we’re happily married.

2018 was full of things like that and the funny thing is that with only a few hours something is different today than it was a year ago…I’m excited and looking forward to 2019. There are plenty of things I’ve set my sights to improve not only in the virtual world but also in the real one. The major difference is that I have even more great people in my life that wish for me to succeed than I did before which is why my level of confidence can only increase as I approach another 365 days worth of goals.

To the brands that have shown me their love and loyalty, I look forward to give back as much as I can to you in 2019. To the events that I was a part of in 2018 and will continue on with in the new year, thank you for your faith in my work as well because I know that only a group of the best are allowed entry. To my family, friends and colleagues alike…your support has strengthened me and I use it to guide me now as I will tomorrow and in the months ahead.

Thank you so much to all of you for everything it means a great deal to me.

For the final blog of 2018 I’ve got quite a bit of good things for the look and the scene to share so without wasting too much time I’m going to get right into it.

The pose I am using comes from UrbanMind and it is called D!VA and as one might gather it is meant to be for the fairer of genders but as most know, I am someone who likes to try to take an out of the box type approach when it comes to poses that are not intended for males. It’s not really difficult to do unless it is a very complicated pose and I did try every one in this set and they were all usable without me having to adjust my shape.

It appears that the set is based off of the songs of various female artists and some of which I have worked out in my head, there are a few others that I haven’t. The set also comes with a microphone prop for some of the poses and also an umbrella for the pose which I believe is based on Rihanna’s song of the same name. If I were a female I think I would enjoy using this pose set just as much as there are many possibilities that can be done with it in regards to scenes with stages or even perhaps karaoke settings.

UrbanMind Poses D!VA Pose and Prop Set:

  • Bento enabled poses (requires bento capable viewer)
  • Microphone and umbrella prop included
  • 6 different poses to choose from
  • Exclusively @ Anti-Event until 01/07/19

My NYE wardrobe would have felt a bit lacking if Bakaboo hadn’t released the “Luka Suit” at the Man Cave event for December. One thing I can say for certain is that this suit is a lot of fun for me to wear because it’s very ornate and this appeals to me a lot. There are three different sets of jacket colors (A-C) with included pants in three colors (Black, Cream and White). They can be bought individually or purchased together in a FATPACK for a reduced rate and if it were to be compared price wise I can say that the FATPACK is cheaper than buying even two packs at once; essentially would be like getting a pack and a half free.

I chose the black, gold, and white even though I should have chosen a more colorful choice but I wanted to sneak in a bit of a shout out to my favorite football team, the Saints. They’ve had a good season and are heading into the playoffs with every game they play being at the Superdome which is super exciting not just for me as an out of town fan but those who are actually there in the thick of it.

Tracking back to the suit though I really love the thought that was put into it and also all the different colorways that can be picked to meet a buyer’s needs. Looking forward to more unique creations from Bakaboo in the next year because adding a splash of color at the right time makes things that much more lively.

Bakaboo Luka Suit:

  • Original mesh
  • 3 different color packs
  • HUD to change sleeves also included
  • Pants included in each pack
  • FATPACK also available
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique male bodies
  • Exclusively @ Man Cave until 01/09/19

With those being my main featured items I would like to give honorable mention to the hair I am wearing which is “Lucas” by Vango. It’s a long hair that’s pulled back into a bun and gives off a bit of an Asian style to it. I picked up the Naturals pack so that I could have the basic colors for when the need arises that I want to go with a color than my usual black or even shades of brown.

It’s also one of the reasons that drew me to the current round of Men Only Monthly which is known to have great swag from month to month. One of the male events that I recommend anyone needed to find newer designers or just new clothes, poses, tattoos or accessories from brands that are already known and loved.

The background that I have behind me is a part of the Christmas Backdrops Gacha from Paparazzi that I previously used another backdrop from. I thought the neon champagne glasses and “Happy New Year” sign fit the message I wanted to send perfectly. This is a night that is supposed to be filled with fun and allows people to let loose which I am slowly starting to do now.

Given that I want to make sure this is posted before the clock strikes twelve on the East coast, I am going to wish a Happy New Year on behalf of myself and the entity known as These Conversations Kill. Have a safe, enjoyable evening and I can’t wait to share my journey through 2019 with everyone!

Until our paths cross once again,

B

[#562] Maybe We’ll Find Better Days

I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days

Goo Goo Dolls, ♫Better Days

Decidedly I took some time to think about this year and the holidays and I wanted to do a blog that didn’t focus on the struggles I deal with specifically during this time of year. What I wanted to do was find something that had meaning and “Better Days” by the Goo Goo Dolls was my way of doing that. It’s not a Christmas song but applies to the holidays and is as applicable now as it was when it was released twelve (12) years ago.

Humankind sometimes fails to forget the little things like wanting the best for their fellow person (be it man or woman) and often times people can come off as snarky, unkind, or devoid of feeling. Yes we all have our own battles going on in our lives whether it be our own or those closest to us but more often then not we dismiss what other people are going through. The veteran who might have lost a limb, the person that lost their job and has to resort to living on the streets, or even the child that is in the hospital with a severe disease.

There are people out there that need help in many ways and not all of us can afford to donate money, those that can I applaud you greatly. For the rest of us who may not have that option we can donate our time and our ear or shoulder to a person that may just need five to ten minutes to talk about their day and to see that what they are saying isn’t meaningless.

Lately it has felt as if the world has become more bitter than I remember and I am not going to point a finger at this or that because that won’t solve anything. As the year comes closer to a close I hope that we all can start to prepare to be our best selves in 2019 and help even one person on that past to be their best self because the world can be a great place (I’ve seen how good it can be without rose colored glasses).

It’s something to think about and I hope that anyone who does happen to stumble upon this blog post takes it to heart because as the song says “Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days”.

There is still a few days left to shop the December round of The Men’s Department and after having made several trips there for things (and there may be one more stop before it closes up for the final time of 2018), I went back because I happened to get an awesome gift of credit to the Deadwool store. Fortunate for me the Deadwool vendors at TMD allow you to use giftcards/store credit so I was able to bring home with me the entire pack of the “Deserter Jacket”.

When I first saw this jacket at the beginning of the month I knew I had to have it but other things were a necessity before I was to even consider getting even one of the single colors but I was spared by receiving the gift card. There are three parts of the jacket that you can color change in the FATPACK with the included HUD.

One thing that I truly like best about this jacket is that it isn’t pristine and it has a worn look to it like it’s been with me for ages…suppose it could be considered “vintage” perhaps? Deadwool has once again made me a happy customer and has me waiting to see what the brand will put out next.

Deadwool Deserter Jacket FATPACK:

  • 100% original mesh
  • HUD changes 3 parts (Jacket, Lining, and shirt)
  • Many color choices to choose from
  • Shirt can be turned on or off
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Geralt, Gianni) and SLink Physique mesh bodies.
  • Exclusively @ TMD until 12/30/18

The Man Cave event is currently going strong with a lot of great things to check out like the “Owen Hair” by Modulus. This mid-length side swept hair is definitely a style that I feel suits me well and I can also say it looks better on me in a color other than black as well. The way it flows down the side of the face without covering the eyes also is something I like as well (adding that I can wear it on either side of my face with mirrored versions).

One of my weaknesses I feel is talking about hair even though one of my brand partners is a hair store, I seem to let me photos do the talking for them more than I can type things down for all to see. My descriptions are probably not the best but it is something I’m working on and will continue to work on moving forward into next year.

To simplify things, I like this hair and I think many fellas out there will enjoy it as much as I do.

Modulus Owen Hair:

  • 100% original nex-gen alpha mesh
  • 5 color packs + integrated tinting in HUD
  • 40 color FATPACK also available
  • Exclusively @ Man Cave until 01/09/18

Even though I’ve finished my requirement this month for The Men Jail event I still have items I want to blog from it while it is still open (which is for another couple days). I really liked the idea of pairing the Deadwool jacket with the “Brush Wash” Jeans by CHEERNO because to me they really fit well in the fact that they both have a vintage and worn look. Ever since CHEERNO started making clothing again there has been a lot of items that I’ve enjoyed blogging and this once fits in that category.

I can’t say exactly why I like distressed jeans with fraying holes other than it reminds me a bit of the grunge rock era that was essential to my formative years. It’s where I discovered the music that would inspire me with writing and also the films and shows that would play a role along with several teachers in school to help mold me into who I am today.

At the event there are also plain and muddy versions of the jeans which I think are just as cool and well worth checking out if The Men Jail hasn’t been a part of a planned shopping excursion (because it should be).

CHEERNO Brush Wash Jeans [Pack]:

  • Original mesh
  • HUD contains 6 different distressed denim colors
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 12/28/18

The holiday beverage that is in my hand comes from the Anti-Event and is made by Flair ‘n’ Style. The “Creamy Christmas Drink” is the caffeinated beverage I needed to help me get through several long days and also the photo taking for this blog. It is holiday themed with a straw (I’ll say it’s paper and not plastic) as well as a candy cane which everyone knows (except those who do not like them) are delicious.

Included with the drink are both wearable and rezzable versions of the drink along with resize and texture HUDs, the former has 6 different types to choose from all with festive cup designs. I may be just a tad cute for the overall feel of what I have done with this scene but in a way it fits too because the protagonist walking down the street has clearly been out probably looking for last minute gifts or somewhere to donate (like the Salvation Army for example).

Flair ‘n’ Style Creamy Christmas Drink:

  • Original Mesh
  • Left and Right Holdable versions
  • Rezzable version for decor use included
  • Resize and Texture HUDs (6 different styles to choose from)
  • Exclusively @ Anti-Event until 01/07/18

Before I end this post I saved a one of the crucial parts of this scene for last. The “Dickens Street” Backdrop by Paparazzi is something that I felt really clicked with the idea and also the song choice that I made to correspond with the blog. The distressed clothing and walking past Ebeneezer Scrooge and Jacob Marley’s office which is famously from the literary classic “A Christmas Carol” felt right because perhaps maybe it was a future Tiny Tim walking by and remembering his childhood.

I love the detail of this build as it has a good feel to it and the built in lighting from the street lamps is just perfect (which I was hoping along with my chosen lighting would really make this scene magical). The backdrop was first a part of the Tannenbaum event which has since closed but luckily Drew puts out her items in her store after they’ve moved out of events. It’s certainly worth taking a look at to see what might inspire other photos or could be saved to do something with next year but either way it is an inspired piece.

At least for me it was.

I‘ve gone on long enough and there’s always work to be done so I’ll part for now with the style credits in my wake and feel good about what this post means personally and hope that it has meaning for others out there too.

Until our paths cross again down the road,

B

Many might be wondering if their eyesight is wrong or they need to adjust their monitors but I decided to do something out of the ordinary that I usually don’t do and that’s show a lot more skin. I’m also putting Santa Claus in more of a pg-13 light and that I would say is an interesting concept.

This post is filled with goodies from The Men Jail including my use of a Gacha set by PBM Decor aka PeeBee MacMillan. This Christmas gacha is very well made and I have to say that it was one of the main reasons that I chose to do this blog because with the glass of milk, plate of cookies, and a fireplace where stockings can be placed along with an excellent armchair for me to park myself, it’s well worth giving it a look for those that are big on decor and also things that deal with the holidays.

PBM Decor Christmas Set Gacha:

  • Original Mesh
  • 11 items (9 commons, 2 RARES)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 12/28/18

While my version of Santa isn’t in his trademark suit, I thought it would be interesting to pattern my look with the Gild “Boxers-B White Lined” FATPACK which has a pair of red boxers with a white outline…perfect for representing my new vision for the man from the North Pole. My idea centers around Santa having a pretty wild night with the Mrs. and she leaves him a parting gift before it’s time to get ready to deliver gifts all over the world.

For those that like these boxers but are not as much a fan of the white outline there is black-line version and that I feel is a good way to make everyone happy which is a good move Gild, I definitely applaud you for it!

Gild Boxers-B White-Lined FATPACK:

  • Original mesh
  • 6 colors in the set (also sold separately)
  • Black-Line version also available
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 12/28/18

The final item from my haul from The Men Jail makes my version of Santa capable of finding himself on the “Naughty List”. It seems that his evening with Mrs. Claus involved scratching and smacking which can be seen in the form of KAOS Tattoos “Spank” applier. I have a feeling that there is a market that will use this for a lot less innocent photos than I’m capable of but to each their own I say! Santa most likely has a few things that he doesn’t want the elves or reindeer knowing about if you catch my drift?

KAOS Tattos Spank Tattoo:

  • Applier HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega and SLink
  • Omega HUD applier for face scratches
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 12/28/18

Last year I recall blogging some holiday items and dubbing myself “Hipster Santa” and this year I may not be as much of a hipster; it might be said that I upgraded a little. My beard is one of the latest releases from DossiEr called the “Reppo” beard which is a full pack which I like because some stores divide into color packs but at least this way if I choose to wear a different color I can just pick it in the HUD and I’m done!

I’ve already seen DossiEr post a WIP of a new beard so for fans of the brand there’s definitely exciting news and I welcome that because well I did say in the last blog that I consider myself a virtual beard connoisseur (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)

DossiEr ReppoC Beard:

  • Original mesh
  • HUD includeds 12 different color choices
  • Fitted sizes for CATWA ( Daniel, Stanley and Victor) and LeLutka (Andrea)
  • Exclusively @ Man Cave until 01/09/18

Several items that I have as a part of the scene that are not new or event items include the “Scary Gary” skin by Session Skins, I felt like it was perfectly aged for my portrayal of Santa as I combined it with the “Aaron Hair” by Vango. My look wouldn’t be complete though without the Caboodle “Holiday Hat” which I’ve had since the holidays last year and never used and I believe they even have it for purchase at the Linden Lab “Shop & Hop” if you haven’t been there I’d definitely encourage a trip there as many top designers have new and old products for great prices.

This is all the time I have for this blog post but I hope all my readers, friends, and family have a wonderful holiday and I am going to take a day or two break before I get back to blogging to enjoy the holiday and all the wonderful food, beverage and time with those closest to me. Be safe and responsible and I look forward to continuing on to get a couple more posts in before 2018 is no longer.

Until next,

B

[#534] Should’ve Stripped Her Down

Could’ve stripped her down, and made the world a mess for her
Never thought she could be this way

Cold, ♫Strip Her Down

Most of us have been there before and for those who haven’t you are the most fortunate of us all. Relationships can be hard all by themselves but when you add in toxicity and other factors it tends to wear on a person (it can affect both male and female in a variety of ways). When one ends as the result of betrayal a whole range of emotions can bubble up from the surface and that is the emotion that I was looking to capture in this photo.

The raw feeling of what it is like to have been burned by someone you trust is something that can bury you deep within yourself. For some as I said it has happened and even more than once, I can admit to being one of those people. You find it hard to trust anyone afterward or want to let them in but only if you allow it to; I can tell you that not letting it take you down is the best road to go because it was not your fault.

Lately I have been doing my best to get what I want to say visually in one shot and to me I feel that this is one of those times where I don’t have to do any other close-up shots and things like that; I wanted the background and the lighting to do the talking for me along with the shadows.

One of the latest releases from Modulus is a winter beanie which I imagine a lot of people are putting on now with autumn starting to take hold. This hat is a combination with a few locks of hair escaping on both sides of the beanie. It fits great out of the package but I would recommend that you alpha your ears and scalp because those stick out originally but is a quick solution. This is definitely a combo that you could wear quite a bit in your photos going forward for those of you who treat the virtual world as you do the real one as far as seasons are concerned.

The beanie has an excellent build and texture and the locks of hair popping out do as well just like all of Modulus’ releases and this combo is no different and well worth your attention to check it out.

Modulus Jackson Hair features:

  • 100% original mesh (Beanie) & 100% original alpha nex-gen hair mesh
  • HUD to control fabric color of beanie (6 colors in all) + integrated color picker
  • 5 Hair Color HUD each with integrated color picker for extra customization
  • 40 Color FATPACK option also available
  • Exclusively @ FaMESHed until October 27th

The October round of Pose Fair has been a good challenge for me with trying out different things and seeing where my creativity takes me; it has also been a lot of fun as well. Vanity Poses released both a male and female pose pack as well as one pose with a prop as well as a couples pose. I took a keen interest in the “Yo” pose pack because I liked how the poses were set and the hand movements were something I liked as well and narrowed it down to choosing something I thought worked well for my mood as it seems my av is fidgeting with his hands as if upset by something.

I am intending to also post a few more male centric poses from the fair as well as I have been dabbling in other types to start out but this was one that caught my eye and am very glad that the scene turned out as I wanted it to.

Vanity Poses Yo Pose Pack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required to work properly)
  • 5 different poses to choose from
  • Mirrored versions of each pose also included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until October 31st!

For the last of my featured items in the blog I have the “Jason Polo Shirt” in the Classic Pack by Cold-Ash. One thing I can say about a polo shirt is that it is casual like a dress shirt but also comfortable like a t-shirt. The fit of this product is awesome and for the mesh bodies that sizes are included for it has auto hide so you don’t have to spend all your time clicking out parts of your body which when you are dressing in a hurry it’s definitely a good feature to have.

It’s a good shirt to wear with either your favorite jeans or slacks and with an assortment of colors to choose from finding the right look is hardly even a thing.

Cold-Ash Jason Polo Shirt features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • FATPACK includes HUD with 8 color choices
  • Single versions also available
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Geralt & Gianni) and SLink Physique male bodies
  • Exclusilvely available now @ The Men’s Dept until October 30th

The opening of this blog had a bit of heaviness in it as the theme was as well and I tend to do these blogs as it is a part of the life cycle as it were. There are many topics people face everyday and even if I haven’t experienced some of them personally, there are a few I have or someone close to me that I know has. Every blog is a conversation about something and there are topics that do make more appearances than others as it depends on what kind of items I have to work with that fit the theme.

Either before or after I’ve taken the photo I choose the soundtrack for the blog as a whole and that is essentially the process in which I work on a consistent basis while rarely deviating from it. There are times when I feel it’s necessary when I’m looking for input or just need that extra push to make something I feel is lacking the final touch to carry it over.

I appreciate those who come to the site whether it is for the pics or the styles themselves (I’ve honestly grown from being a male fashion blog though it is still my main focus whenever possible). If anything that’s been written here has been felt by someone just passing through and they can empathize or even when there is a post that is uplifting and it warms their soul…I am here for all of that.

These are my conversations, these are some of your conversations but in reality they are all our conversations.
