[#498] How’s It Go Again?

All my new friends
We smile at party time
But soon we forgot to smile
At anything else

AJR (feat. Rivers Cuomo), ♫Sober Up

Putting fun (or just funny) scenes together is something I do like to do even though most of the time it seems like everything on this blog is super serious. I like to try and show a little bit of everything when I can so that’s what I’ve got going on in this post. I’d say that I came into contact with this song that I’m using for the soundtrack of the blog about maybe 3-4 months ago when I was traveling and listening to the radio. I thought that it was a really upbeat type of song even though some of the lyrics to it are a bit deep and maybe even troubled. I have at times felt this way in my life and I’m sure many others have too but there’s always someone in our life that brings our spirits up and we might not have seen them recently.

This is dedicated to those people because no matter how long time passes between visits or communication they always have that special place.

As my coverage for my first round as an official blogger of The Men Jail is winding down, I have several different items that are making an appearance here because I wanted to get as much as I could in when it was applicable. The event has such a variety of things so choosing what to show has been a bit of a struggle for me but in a good way. I hear things from others saying that they have hard time blogging items from events because it doesn’t fit what they do or whatever the reason might be but I am of the mentality that I can make just about anything work and I’m going to try win, lose, or draw.

Poses are something that you can always easily apply to a photo because it’s essentially a lifeblood to help you capture something unique (unless you are a landscape or decorative blogger than that does not apply) and {Phantom Animations} latest release “Cart Saga” definitely fits the bill. “Cart Saga” is definitely something fun as who doesn’t remember goofing around in their youth at the grocery or at the local retail chain goofing off with the carts with siblings or friends. It’s very possible that adults may attempt to do this as well to a lot less favorable outcome.

Cart Friends Saga:

  • 5 singles poses
  • 2 friends poses
  • Unisex
  • Includes mesh shopping cart prop
  • Bento compatible

As a part of my look I’m wearing the Purfect “Mesh Beard A 012” which when it comes to mesh beards I figured I’d be tweaking it or trying to tweak it so much that I’d end up getting frustrated and giving up and wouldn’t end up using it but this beard was super easy to do a simple tweak and it fit my face “purfectly” ok that was a bad pun but I have to throw one in there now and then. I seriously like this beard and it’s not so much a hipster style beard and for a moment before I added hair to my look I thought I kinda had the “Eric Young” look going on (if you have no idea who he is hit up Google to learn more about him!)

Purfect Mesh Beard A 012:

  • 8 different hair tones (Fatpack Available)
  • Upper, Lower, and Full beard versions
  • 2 different mustache versions
  • Applier HUDs for both CATWA and LeLutka

My third and final item is from another brand that I’ve heard of but like Purfect is making it’s first appearance here on the blog. MP Style has been around for a while but for some reason I just haven’t gotten around to showing any of their stuff until their TMJ item “Bruno White Shorts” and could also quality as a Bermuda pant as they go past the knee. I am a fan of any short that doesn’t go too far above the knee like your inner thighs have swallowed the material and I know that some people like that style but I don’t feel it looks right on me.

MP Style Bruno Shorts

  • 6 colors to choose from
  • Fatpack available
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni), and SLink Physique

Fortunately I’m able to show off the latest Modulus hair from The Men’s Department with over a week left in the round. Hopefully in the near future I’ll be able to get myself together with taking photos and getting them posted but sometimes my energy levels suck and I just can’t force myself to post something because then I’ll hate it and if I don’t like it how are the brands I am blogging going to like it? It’s a multifaceted process and I’ve made it goal after posting something that I realize I wasn’t feeling 100% to never consider “phoning it in” again.

The “Joey” hair is a short to mid length style that is combed off to the right, I have the sides and back of my head shaved to give it more depth. Hair is another thing much like facial hair that sometimes needs a bit of resize tweaking to look it’s best on you and I didn’t have to do much of that with this product or usually any of Modulus’ hairs.

For this particular scene I’m wearing a tone from the Browns pack as that’s been my signature hair color as of late.

Modulus – Joey Hair

  • 40 colors to choose from (5 different hair packs)
  • Fatpack is also available
  • Color tinting integrated in the HUD

I was also able to get the credits from my buddies look and can tell you that I may have to take a trip to Men Only Monthly to get the A&D “Gregory” shirt because it looks pretty cool. He’s also wearing the latest group gift from Akeruka which is the “Leon” fully loaded Deluxe Mesh Head…yes that’s right you can join their group (it costs only 150L) and you can take home a fully functional mesh head but there’s a catch (as most of the time there is) and that is it is for a limited time only so you have to get to their main location before the 1st of July otherwise you’ll miss out!

My last featured product that also comes from The Men’s Department event are the “Zoe” Sneakers from Native Urban. Don’t let the name fool you this are unisex shoes that you can wear and use for exercising, jogging, or just hanging out with your favorite people. I love that the Fatpack version has so much customization and sure in this photo I played it safe to match my outfit but I can always do something really different in future looks. Native Urban really has a good sneaker game and I’m pretty strict about my footwear.

Native Urban – Zoe Sneakers

  • 8 single colors for purchase
  • Fatpack option available (full 20 color customization)
  • Unisex
  • Male sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique

The Men’s Department will keep it’s doors open for this round until the 30th of June so you can take a look at what both Modulus and Native Urban have to offer as well as other top brands for a premier shopping experience. It’s one of the things that easily gets my excitement level up when the beginning of the month starts because I know that new and great guy stuff will be near.

Now that I’ve run out of wind I feel I got a bit heavy handed with writing this entry and could have probably went further but I don’t want to overkill anyone that might be reading or visiting for the first time. I’m going to take a few days and get back into the swing of things and you’ll see something new over the weekend or the beginning of the week (possibly both). Tons of fun things coming up as it’s almost time once again for the next round of Pose Fair as well as a new round of The Men Jail along with commitments to my wonderful brands I’m partnered with.

Hope you enjoy this first week of official summer and until our paths cross again, onto the next conversation…

[#484] You Got The Touch

You got the touch
You got the power
When all hell’s breaking loose
You’ll be riding the eye of the storm
You got the heart
You got the motion
You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

Stan Bush, ♫The Touch

Some time has passed since my last post but things were a bit hectic lately but at least it hasn’t been the longest amount of time I’ve ever gone without posting. I also did most of the work on this several days ago before I got wrapped up in the world of flesh. A moment of geekdom took over as I was putting everything together all based upon the RARE item in the Stealthic/Toksik gacha machine at The Epiphany.

It’s the only new item in this look so I thought I would do something at least a bit special because it’s definitely a throwback moment to my much younger and formative years. It’s very glam and 80’s and despite my feelings towards some of the fashion and things from that time, one of the biggest part of my years was the time I spent (and still spend) as a fan of the Generation 1 of The Transformers.

Saturday morning cartoons helped build my imagination and creativity as I spent time with Optimus Prime and the Autobots, as well as Duke and G.I. Joe (among many other greats of that era but don’t get me started or I’ll be here forever).

I am certain that I’ve spent time reminiscing about my love for The Transformers and their animated big screen debut in 1986. At the time my family was not real big into going to the movies yet as it was just kind of one of those hassles that made it just about impossible to do. I remember that there weren’t very many video stores (yes there were things called video stores that rented out VHS tapes much like your Redbox etc do today). I managed to earn good grades and when the book fair came along (they also had movies as well in in) I was able to order the movie and once it came and I took it home it was like magic happened and I was forever a fan.

When I was given the hair by my blogging friend, Aleriah, I knew that I had to do something epic and throwback with it because it is very 80’s and nothing reminded me more of that then one of the main songs associated with The Transformers: The Movie. Stan Bush’s “The Touch” is every bit of the 80’s that anybody who was a part of that era would know it embodies it.

For my outfit I raided my closet to find as much denim that I could find and both my jacket and jeans are from L&B Swear. With the jacket I knew that I definitely hit the mark of the style and look that I was going for as I tried to do my best to create a visual that compared to the music video for the song which is highly obscure.

This was meant to be a pretty short entry but I have one more quick thing before I wrap things up.

As of the 28th, I found out that I was selected to be a part of the bloggers for the brand Native Urban; I look forward to being able to come up with creative and great ways to feature the brands products going forward as I welcome them to my brand partners. There are new releases that I am looking forward to digging into in my posts for this upcoming week. I hope everyone has had a great weekend and for those of us that are finally being rewarded with spring are able to get those windows open and get some fresh air.

Until our paths cross again, onto the next conversation…

[#463] When The Man Comes Around

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers.
One hundred million angels singin’.
Multitudes are marchin’ to the big kettle drum.
Voices callin’, voices cryin’.
Some are born and some are dyin’.
It’s Alpha and Omega’s Kingdom come.

The Man Comes Around♫ – Johnny Cash

For some reason for the second straight blog entry I came up with a darker lit post. Though the previous one wasn’t really dark as a theme, the way it was shot was in darker lighting. This time my story shot came out darker because it seemed appropriate for what I chose as the soundtrack. This is the first time I believe that I have used a song by Johnny Cash and it’s about time. I didn’t come into being a fan of his work until a bit later in life but I am grateful that I was able to know about him.

“The Man Comes Around” seems to me a song about end times and the rapture in the way the lyrics are written and structured and I found it very interesting and wondered how I could apply it to a shot full with fashion that would co-exist along with it; as I look at the overall feel of the visual it didn’t turn out too badly.

The way I visioned this post with some of the interpretation of the lyrics is that death has been sent to collect souls as a part of the end of the world. So the main story shot you see above is my thought of what death could possibly look like as he’s roaming the earth to complete his job. I knew I wanted to shoot the photo in a place that had dead looking trees to kind of fit in as well with it.

As I said the photo came out a little darker than I anticipated but I like how it feels; the only downside is you don’t see the details of the hair I am wearing as well. Which is why in the next pic you’ll see below three different angles (some with better detailing than this one). The hair I am wearing definitely reminded me a bit of Johnny Cash and what might be worn when he was in his prime. Modulus released the “Aaron” hair as their very first release being a part of the Colabor88 Event which I was excited to hear about.

“Aaron” comes with 25 different colors (a Modulus standard) and you can get them in 5 different color packs (or treat yourself to the FATPACK if you are undecided). What’s great is that each individual color pack has 5 colors but also comes with a color tint portion of the HUD where you can give a style a little extra color and come up with your own style that might not be included. This is definitely a rocker style hair that I think is going to be a hit at the event.

This also happens to be my second Skin Fair 2018 post and you are all getting a double dose of Modulus as I am wearing one of three new skins that you can pick up at the event. This handsome devil is “Graham” and he comes in 6 different tones (Caramel, Chestnut, Fair, Latte, Rose and Sand respectfully alphabetized). You can pick up the body appliers at the fair or at the main store which I’ll be hailing a cab for you down in the credits below for you to take when you are ready.

I’d like to also mention that this is a CATWA applier and made for the Victor head but if you feel adventurous as I sometimes do you can try it on any of CATWA’s other products (including the new Skell head that I’ll be covering soon!). Brow and Body Shapes are provided to help you look your best as was intended.

For my outfit (which you can’t do a song by Johnny Cash without wearing black right?) I am wearing the “Interus” suit in black from E-Clipse Designs. With the setting being a little dark, I did my best to show the details of this suit which are separated by top and bottom (and not one whole mesh). The suit comes fit for Belleza, Signature (Gianni) and SLink male mesh bodies.

Chat Noir has a new set of poses out for sale at the freshly open March round of The Men’s Jail. Pose set 1765 has 6 new poses (along with mirrors for each one) to help you capture that exact look you want to convey to your audience as a blogger or photographer. Take a trip to The Men’s Jail and give these poses a better look as well as other clothing, accessories and poses avialable.

This is definitely a look that would make “The Man In Black” himself proud I think.

Normally I do post more pics but for this entry I felt the two were enough so I could continue working on getting more Skin Fair posts cooking so that you can all see what some of my favorite brands are up to and check them out for yourself. I have more coming from TMD, as well as the Man Cave which is just opening today and perhaps more from The Men’s Jail as well.

Time for me to wrap this one up but I’ll be back again soon with more great things to shop for from stores and events that we all know and love.

Onto the next conversation…

[#454] Drink Deep In The Morning

La da da da
Lift up your voice
Let love cut through the American noise

American Noise♫ – Skillet

The one thing I knew after having such a huge and thought provoking post last time out, I felt like I really needed to come up with something strong to follow up with. I had my hair style and clothing but the one thing I needed was a setting. I looked through some of my resources and came across a sim I know I have never done any pics at so that was my destination…or so I hoped.

The Whole Wheat sim is a cornucopia of different settings all wrapped up into one and just randomly picking a door to go through I found a nice little place to set up shop. I really started getting a vibe with all the abandoned junk and debris which had things such as a cassette player and a record player that had been discarded and left abandoned. It was then that I finalized my look and knew that the pose set I wanted to use would work just right with the setting.

Recently I came across an ad that Chat Noir poses was looking for bloggers and before that I had been to their store to see if they had anything knew in male poses that I did not own. I came across pose set “1760” which was for guitar poses. I’m not going to turn down a guitar pose set even if I have other ones at my disposal as this is something new and not like others I have (a plus being it is bento enabled).

While there is no guarantee that I’ll get selected as a blogger I certainly hope that they see what I can do with their poses as I am a fan and enjoy the work they do.

With that said all the boxes for what I needed for this shoot were checked and I happily took quite a few shots from different angles and tested out different lighting but I feel the one I ended up with along with some minor magic with the help of the Nik Collection, I was able to capture a good photo.

When it comes to events I don’t always walk out with a purchase (even when I’ve looked at the shopping guide before hand). Most of the ones I go to outside of the usual all male variety can be hit and miss as far as male objects. Colabor88 is one of those events where every now and then something will catch my eye (usually footwear from some of my favorite designers as is the case for this post).

Vale Koer released a new pair of boots called the “RAINYDAY” boots and if anything was worth fighting the madness of trying to get in on the first day…these would be a good reason. When something in the virtual world reminds me of an item I own or have owned in the past and no longer have comes along I don’t hesitate. For a long time I had a pair of boots like this and wore them for many years, they got me through some of the last few years of High School and ended up being something I wore to work until they were finally done in for good. While I probably will most often wear the regular version of these or all black, it’s nice to know that I have other options in the FATPACK to entertain myself with on a whim.

Besides the Vale Koer boots, the rest of my outfit is completely from my brand partner, {COLD-ASH}, which I am wearing one new product and one previous product that has been updated to fit the Belleza body. The jeans work fantastic with the boots which I don’t think I could have planned any better than I did but my focus is more on the button down shirt which I guess you could say is also a previous product but it is different because it’s got a new coat of paint so to speak.

The Taylor shirt which I proudly wore in one of my favorite posts, #440 (Whenever The Rain) has gotten a makeover and now along with the Classic Pack which you can get at their store, they have released a version with dotted, plaid, and check patterns for those of you who are into that style. I can admit the moment I saw it and put it on along with the HUD that’s included I was super excited. It was really hard to decide what pattern to go with until I chose the one you see in the photos.

In the above pic I’m also showing a second pose from the Chat Noir 1760 set. The ad shows an electric guitar but I felt considering the type of background I was working with an acoustic would suit my photos a lot better and seems to be the right decision.

Leaving the best (or what I consider to be) for last when it comes to brands is sometimes the right thing to do. This post features a new hair from the M-Cuts line of the Modulus brand which I’ve been honored with being able to use in my work. This hair is the second to be released at The Men’s Department along with “Carl” at the monthly event. They are quite the opposite of one another in the fact that with “Carl” the hair is swept to the left side of the head and with “Stefan” it is shorter in length and swept to the right side.

I did my best to provide the angles to show the hair off from front to back and also to note that it will work great with a very short hairbase style which you can find at the Modulus store.

When it comes to an overall feeling after you taken the photos and pulled them into whatever editor that is used to touch things up, I felt very confident that this is probably my second favorite blog post of 2018. Sure there are still ten more months left in the year (I know, I know I’m not trying to rush anything I promise) but if I am already at a place where I think I’m doing well then as time continues on there’s not telling what great visual stories will unfold on this site. You can now scroll down to the styling credits (if you haven’t already) and I’ll see you again on the horizon.

Onto the next conversation…

SHIRT: {COLD-ASH} TAYLOR Shirt (Dotted/Plaid/Check Fatpack) ✦ NEW @ Man Cave

The original Taylor shirt was a hit for me as I enjoyed the posts that I created while wearing it and as much as I love solid colors, I really enjoy prints and patterns that much more which is why having the plaid and check patterns for this shirt are super awesome. While I may not be crazy about dots I really like how these were done so there definitely a possibility that you’ll see me wearing one of them in a photo (if not on my blog then possibly just a random flickr photo).

BOOTS: [VALE KOER] RAINYDAY BOOTS FATPACK ✦ NEW @ Collabor88

A great well constructed boot set with tons of different options (coming from the FATPACK). You can put together just about any color combination you’d like by just clicking a spot on the HUD and selecting your desired color choice. One thing I can say for certain is when it gets to be the time of year where designers are making shorts more, I’ll be wearing this quite a bit in combination as most pants would make it difficult to wear these without having to do some adjusting.

TA – Code Guitar

I’ve had this for quite a long time and it’s actually mostly for decoration as it is an acoustic guitar with a stand. They do give you one to wear and use (which I made a copy of to be able to make it work with the poses). After all this time it still looks great and stands up well as far as early mesh objects go and was glad that I could use it in this photo shoot.

CN* pose 1760

Anything to do with music is something I’m going to normally purchase if the timing is right and these guitar poses from Chat Noir are very well done. There are 6 different poses with (mirror/alternate sides) that are a combination of sitting and standing poses. I have to note that a guitar prop is not included with the pose and I had to use my own but pretty much any guitar you might have in your inventory can work with the right adjustments (make a copy of it first just in case!!!).

[#446] Dark On Me

But I found in you what was lost in me
In a world so cold and empty
I could lie awake just to watch you breathe
In the dead of night, you went dark on me

Dark On Me♫ – Starset

When you have an idea in your head that you want to make as close to what you envision as possible, you tend to wait until the absolute right time to put it all together and that is what I did with this blog entry. I could have waited to do it when it was a significant post number or a special occasion but with all the pieces I needed to create what I saw in my mind, the time was at hand to unleash it.

I’ve done several space themed entries before with a song by the band Starset as its soundtrack. Once again I have gone that direction as this particular song has been one that I wanted to for a very long time (I keep notes about things I want to do and I have had it in my notes for ages). While the band has their own concept through their songs and albums, I didn’t want to copy their ideas and wanted to come up with a story of sorts to back the photos up on my own.

While I wanted to keep the intergalactic theme for the series of photos, I also didn’t want to do anything with Star Wars or Star Trek. In my head I thought maybe more along the lines of the video game, Halo, but maybe not set in a world where humans are fighting aliens.

In my head I thought it would be more like different colonies of humans (the world became overpopulated and so mankind sought out the stars to find sustainable places for life) are at war with one another. The protagonist in this story is a soldier who during one of the battles is fighting alongside the love of his life and she is wounded and he is fighting to get her to where she can receive medical aid.

As the story would progress our soldier manages to escape the battle and get his love to a medical station on a moon base where she is being attended to in the picture above. For this I used the RARE Body Scanner item from the “Experimental” gacha set from Disorderly which is a part of the current round of The Epiphany. I used several other items from this set but unfortunately those photos did not make it to this blog entry as I had taken many photos from different angles and chose the best ones to use.

The outfits that myself and Rosalie are wearing are from the Shu Mesh store (which I’ve used for my other space posts). I really like the detail that their products have and the reason why I went back to them to put together looks for this post.

With the other photos used here it’s not as easy to see the hair and eyes that the protagonist is wearing which is why I am including this close-up (as I do with all new featured hair and eye products). The eyes themselves are key because they were the beginning of what prompted me to start working on this entry. Go&See released the “Galaxy” eyes for The Season’s Story winter edition. It was hard to decide on which color eyes to use because they were all so beautiful to look at.

Once again I’m wearing one of the latest Modulus Alpha Hair releases named “Tommy”. I really thought this worked well for a soldier or military style haircut and envisioned this could very well be what they wear in the future.

This hair is currently available only at the Man Cave event.

Normally I don’t show close-ups when I have guests blog with me but this blog post feels a little different and extra special so I’ve included a closer look at Rosalie’s face and eyes. I stylized the left part of the photo to show that not every story has a fairytale ending. In the future of the world this post is set in the love of the protagonist suffers mortal injuries and succumbs to them (the part of which “dark on me” means to me in this case).

I had this thought that in that particular world when someone passes their life force diminishes and they turn ashen (a lot like Optimus Prime did in the animated Transformers movie from 1985). This depicts her body starting to change as her essence leaves her body. It seems like such a wild concept but I thought it was rather cool and could be something I actually write about when I get a wild hair.

As I move to wrap this up, I want to thank Rosalie again for helping me put together a fun photo session that turned out better than I even hoped. She ran with the idea I was going with and put together a look that along with the armor she wore, gelled about as perfect as you could possibly get. The hair and eyes as well as the makeup fit the thoughts I head swirling around in my brain.

Also I would like to thank Lucie Bluebird-Lexington for providing me some space (no pun intended) along with the dome with the out of this world sky; I could not have put this together as close to my particular vision without those little details.

I look forward to the next adventure that I embark upon but I want to live in the moment of this one for a little bit before I push forward.

So instead of Onto the next…we’ll go with…

Until the next conversation…

HAIR: Modulus – Tommy Hair – BROWNS @ Man CaveNEW

This hair reminds me a little bit of a style that you would find in the Roman Empire time period. It’s short with a little length hanging in the front just above the eyes. The back and sides are shaved (so using a shaved base or just having it bald works best for this). There are five color packs each with five colors in them (included in the HUD is a color tinter). A FATPACK is also available for purchase so run out to the Man Cave event and test this out for yourself!

This futuristic armor is awesome (at least in my mind it is) and has several different features that make it a great addition for any cosplay or role-playing event. The helmet fit perfectly without me having to do any adjusting to it (with my hair on as well). The included HUD allows you to change different color parts of the suit as well as different features on the helmet.

Please note that I am also using an Add-On HUD that is purchasable at the store to give the armor it’s battle damaged appearance.

OUTFIT: – Shu Mesh – Shury Soft Armor (Female)

A newer release from the brand, it features bento hands and feet as well as a HUD to change various parts of the suit (Including the arm computer on the left arm). It is not fitted for mesh bodies but if you are already wearing a full body alpha it will work just fine. Please note that it is also rigged mesh.

~isil~ *Science!* Research Station RARE

Unfortunately I took way too many photos so this item is not viewed in full. I intend to post more from this photo shoot onto my Flickr so if you are interested in seeing more to check back there to see some of the shots that did not make it into the full blog.

DISORDERLY. / Experimental / Body Scanner / RARE @ The EpiphanyNEW

This item was not only hard to obtain (because it was likely because I wanted it so badly haha) but it was a crucial piece of the story. The best view of it is in the second photo above and in the close up shot of Rosalie. There are also alternate takes that did not make it to the full blog as well that will likely end up on my Flickr in the near future when time permits.

RK Poses – Take Me Home

The perfect pose for the story shot where the protagonist is carrying his fallen love off of the battlefield in order to get medical aid. I had seen this in another bloggers work and did not realize that I already had it in my unused arsenal of poses. RK Poses makes really quality poses and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to use for the photos in which it is featured.

[#405] My Love Is A Life Taker

This bottle of Steven’s awakens empty feelings
Like father, step father, the son is drowning in the flood

Say It Ain’t So” – WeezerListen

Some exciting things have been going on the last few days and I’ll get to those in a moment. It’s been a few since my last entry but sometimes I get these little lulls where either life gets in the way or my though process isn’t going the way I want and when I set up a scene or go to a location to photograph a scene I want it to be as close to what I’ve got in my head as possible.

It doesn’t always work that way.

There are a few repeat items from the last look but that’s mainly cosmetic stuff like skin and eyes. Those are things that often times do not change as much unless there is a new product out that you really like and want to feature.

Good fortune has found me at the n21 and FaMESHed events as I’ve been able to find multiple items to showcase which only usually lends itself to the male events I shop because I tend to find most of my things there. I am quite happy though to be able to display things from events you might not normally see get coverage. Branching out is definitely a highlight for me. Most people are familiar with the MadPea brand which holds hunts, and has different games that contain prizes and I took a venture to their sim and was able to find a great shot to work with so if there is anyone who is looking for an interesting spot to photograph then I definitely recommend MadPea City which you can find transportation too below.

One last thing before I leave you to browse the credits and that is I recently found out that I was nominated for a Bloggy Award. Which for me is a huge honor. The Bloggies is an award ceremony that will feature a who’s who of bloggers and I’ve been nominated in the category of “Best Humorous Blogger”. What makes this truly unique is that people can vote for their favorites so if there are any readers out there that follow the blog and enjoy it and want to help then you can cast your vote at The Bloggies Ballot Site (but keep in mind you have to be logged into a Google account to be able to vote. If you do show your love for These Conversations Kill, know that I will sincerely appreciate it and a big thank you goes out to those of my esteemed colleagues that nominated me to put me in this position.

With that I’m going to leave you with the credits from the scene and some of my thoughts on products that are new to this session. It’s been my privilege and see you again on the next adventure. Stay stylish with a song in your soul!

HAIR⊱ BURLEY – Craig @ n21NEW

When a hair brand releases a hair/hat combination and it looks awesome it gets me all sorts of amped up. I like wearing caps but most times they never work out with hair so I tend to just wear the cap with a base. Burley released this snapback mid-length hair combination. It comes with a style HUD that you are able to choose if the cap is facing the front of you or it is backwards. Also you can change the hat itself with a collection of colors and patterns. There are tons of color packs to choose from or you can purchase the full product for a pro-rated price. I myself picked up the variety pack which includes most of the main hair colors.

SHIRT⊱ Tonktastic – Cotton Tee (Bundles 5-8) @ TMDNEW

This item is a review copy that was sent to me by TonkTastic through my sponsorship with Hermony. Though Hermony is not doing official sponsors at the time he is gracious enough to send me things to review as I am a big fan of his brand and the work he’s done. This is the second time the two brands have collaborated on a shirt (the first being #1-4 that first appeared at the Man Cave event in August). 14 designs in each shirt that you can combine into one HUD if you choose to purchase them all and I encourage you to do so because these shirts are mega sweet. They come fitted for Aesthetic, Belleza, Classic Fitted Avatars, Signature, SLink Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.

SHORTS{COLD-ASH} CHINO Shorts
SHOES⊱ L&B Swear Low Top Sneakers – Male @ FaMESHedNEW

Lapointe & Bastchild’s Swear brand has been one of my favorites for quite a while. I’ve purchased shirts, jeans, you name it and I’ve gotten it because they are well made and fit really well. They’ve outdone themselves with their version of the timeless classic Low Top Sneakers. Included is a HUD with two pages of different color schemes to pick from that will give you plenty of wearability. For those of you with Aesthetic, Belleza, Signature and SLink Physique bodies you’ll be able to wear these kicks and show your cool factor wherever you are at. These are at the FaMESHed event until the end of the month!

[#396] I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me

When I’m in the shower
I’m afraid to wash my hair
‘Cause I might open my eyes
And find someone standing there

Somebody’s Watching Me” – RockwellListen

After some hectic days in the real world, I am back to have a little fun with some cool clothing, poses, and backdrops. When I first saw the advertisement for one of my sponsors, Image Essentials, it instantly popped up in my head what I wanted to do with it. I grabbed a few people to help me and feel like I made some magic happen.

There are quite a few new things in this post from the returning TMD (The Men’s Department), Lost & Found which is open for the current round until the 18th, and also the Mesh Body Addicts Fair.

There are a lot of great shopportunities going on at the events I’ve featured today and more, which I hope to be covering in upcoming posts. Going to all these different kinds of events and finding different things really helps inspire me to connect visuals in my head with all sorts of music as you might be able to tell by flipping through the entries of this site. I’ll let you delve into the credits and discover great events and stores and always grab demos to make sure that what you put in your closet brings a smile to your face. Until next time, stay stylish fellas!

HAIRModulus – Kaleb Hair

This hair is a holdover from the Hair Fair that I just managed to unpack because I wanted to find something to go with the “Lukas” hair base and why not pair the same brand together? This combed back hair with a little straying strands in the back goes well with parted hair bases, shaved ones, or just about any you might have in your collection.

HAIR BASE⊱ Modulus – Lukas Hair Base @ TMDNEW

One of two new hair bases available from Modulus at TMD. This side parted hair base goes well with hairs that are not all the way around the sides and back. You can wear it with any hair you want but it would not be used to its full potential. If you are looking for a quality hair base then this will easily fit your requirements.

HEADCATWA – Shaheen (Bento)
EYES⊱ MESANGE – Sanford Eyes @ Lost & FoundNEW

From my sponsor at MESANGE comes the “Sanford Eyes” 15 great iris colors to choose from that are available for single purchase or can be purchased all together in a FATPACK, which makes the most sense if you are a fan of changing eye colors. There is a HUD for omega applier compatible eyes but also comes with regular mesh eyes.

FACE⊱ Clef de Peau – Colin T2 @ TMDNEW

Colin is the latest release from Clef de Peau and is a handsome gentleman with a bit of ruggedness to him. I didn’t notice at first but when you look closer, there is a slight scar on his lip which adds to the uniqueness of his look. This is a CATWA only applier and includes brow and body shapes for the three current mesh heads. The applier also has the option to add freckles if that is a part of your look. TMD runs until the end of the month so there is plenty of opportunity to take this skin for a test drive.

BODYBelleza – Jake

SHIRTEXMACHINA HIPSTER TSHIRT

I have been hearing things about this brand for a while now but had never really taken a look into it until recently. EXMACHINA is the clothing division of the Egoisme brand. After taking a stroll through, I find they have some really cool clothing but I was being particularly picky because I wanted to wear something that fit the Belleza body and I found that in this shirt and the corresponding pants. This graphic shirt has 10 different designs you can choose from so there is extended value to it. Combined with the pants I am wearing you can have almost unlimited choices and combinations. Sizes also available in the package include Signature and SLink.

PANTSEXMACHINA SPORT PANTS

After finding the HIPSTER shirt, I came across these sport pants. I happen to think pants like these are comfortable based on the fact I wear them in the real world sometimes. Combining the two items together make for a really casual look for just hanging out or going out on a shopping excursion. I’m also wearing the Belleza version of these but also included are Signature, SLink, Standard Sizes (XS-XL) and TMP with a HUD that gives you 10 different style options. These would even work well if you exercised or did any kind of sport activity.

SHOES⊱ [VALE KOER] CITY SOCK TRAINERS @ UberNEW

Sometimes finding shoes to go with an outfit is difficult based on factor of style and also what mesh body you might be wearing. At times with the limited amount of footwear for the Belleza body (which is beginning to chance) it makes the task a bit more difficult. Though I managed to put on the SLink version of these (as the Belleza body has a SLink foot converter in the HUD). I always enjoy Vale Koer products because they are stylish and always putting out new items that keep up with real trends in footwear. Of course I always by the FATPACK’s because of the endless customization that you can achieve with them (and the price point won’t break your band too badly). Sizes included in the package consist of Signature, SLink, and TMP (for the guys) and Belleza, Maitreya, and SLink (for the gals) as well as an unrigged version for standard avi’s.

BACKDROPPseudo – Townhouse Scene

With the impressive quality of mesh backdrops these days, it’s making it easier to create an impressive scene without having to worry about going to a pre-decorated location (which is still preferred and fun) to create a good looking visual. Pseudo’s gacha machines always seem to have inspiring places to try to play for so that you can put together a great setting with very little fuss or frustration. I encourage you to check out what they have to offer and even visit their booths in current events which you can find transportation to from the store itself.

IE – Photobomb v.4 (b) @ Mesh Body Addicts FairNEW

Photobombing has become a trend over the last couple of years and has become quite an art for people in both the real and virtual world. Some have even made it part of their “gimmick” if you will. Image Essentials has captured the essence of this fad by creating 8 different sets featuring many incarnations of photobombing. What you see in this entry is v.4 which is sort of a ominous way of creeping up on someone while they are being photographed. I really had fun with this and appreciate the two clowns that had a hand in helping out with the visual presentation. Looks like the joke was on me this time out.
