[#522] One More Day

For one more day, (They can’t take this away, it’s far from over)
I’m not afraid to fall (We can’t stay in a place we don’t belong)
For one more day, (They can’t take this away, it’s far from over)
We try to save it all

10 Years, ♫One More Day

Sometimes blogging much like regular writing can cause blocks in creativity and for the last week I’ve been experiencing just that. Trying to find the right products and the ideas to go with them has been troubling and it’s something I am not fond of but it does happen.

With a week removed from the opening of The Men Jail, I finally found some inspiration in the form of the “Duct Tape Gag” by Short Leash. While it has a lot more functions than I will possibly ever use it for (it has built in RLV which I will sheepishly admit that even after being around the grid for as long as I have…do not know the slightest clue about what it does). The tape itself was my way to relay some of the words from “One More Day” by 10 Years, which serves as the soundtrack for this post.

This is the first time that I’ve encountered any kind out mouth tape that wasn’t an applier so I really thought it was creative and worthy of getting a feature on the blog; while it may not be for everyone it is a fun component to add to photos and even role-playing situations for anyone who might be holding someone hostage (not something I encourage just to make it known).

Short Leash Dirt Tape Gag // Silver features:

  • 100% mesh
  • Included HUD includes phrases to put on tape
  • Resizable via HUD or by object editing
  • Normal and RLV enabled versions included
  • Black and Pink versions also available
  • FATPACK version with all three colors available
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until September 30th

Not long ago I blogged one of the two hairs from Modulus at The Men’s Department and I’m finishing that event up by showing you the other offering at the event named “Zander”. This side combed hair is not super long in length and does a good job of keeping the eyes free from being covered and that is something I prefer from hairs of a longer nature.

Keeping up with the trend of offering mirrored versions of the hair, “Zander” definitely gets a thumbs up from me; I even chose a color from the vibrants HUD for a change of pace and really enjoy how it looks. So much that I’ll re-visit it again in the near future with another current release.

Modulus Zander Hair features:

  • 100% original alpha mesh
  • Integrated color picker HUD
  • 40 different pre-existing hair colors (5 different HUDs)
  • Sold separately or as a FATPACK
  • Left and right sided hair versions
  • Exclusively @ TMD through Sep. 30th

Go&See has been releasing quite a few eyes lately and I am certainly trying to stay on top of it but as I mentioned at the beginning of the post it’s been difficult for me because of the bit of a creative block that I’ve been going through. One thing that I haven’t done in four years of blogging has been giving myself the chance to take a break. It sounds silly that I should just allow myself that but in the back of my head I would feel as if I am letting the brands that associate themselves with me down and these small little interruptions never last long; another reason would be that if I stopped completely for a period of time I am too afraid that I would not return to it even though it is a passion and love of mine.

This latest release “Pose” is a part of the current crop of items that are a part of this months round of PocketShop. If you are are unfamiliar with this it is a HUD based shopping experience that takes place monthly much like events but a catalog is posted on their website and also through the HUD which you can purchase for free via there in-world HQ or by going to their marketplace store. The items that are featured are also shown in the HUD so that you know exactly what you are purchasing and buying is easy and can be done one of two ways: purchasing credits or allowing the HUD to use funds from your account. It is extremely safe and something I’d recommend as it is a very nice alternative to trying to get into an event right away on opening day. This can be done from the comfort of your home, skybox, platform etc…

Go&See Pose Eyes features:

  • 100% mesh eyes (for classic avatars)
  • Applier HUDs for CATWA and Genus Project
  • 10 styles to choose from
  • Exclusively sold through PocketShop until October 4th

The backdrop I am using comes from Paparazzi, it was originally from a previous round of Cosmopolitan and should now be in stores. The “Neon Hall” is very nicely constructed and has several points of illumination (which you can play with if you desire, which is a nice added option). At first I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use this backdrop but with the right ambiance it fit what I needed. However, my initial idea was to search for a location but nothing solid came to mind and after a bit of research I chose to go this route and I’m satisfied with the results and the mood I achieved with the “story” photo.

I‘ve also decided to give my Gerald head another go with the latest skin release by Clef de Peau called “Hamilton”. I finally feel that with this skin I don’t look like I could be Russian (which there is nothing wrong with but not the aesthetic I am looking for). The skin was released not only for Vista but there is a CATWA version as well for anyone who is a CATWA purist and there are many out there who have not once strayed away from them (personally I like to try new things just to see if they can perform better than what I currently have).

As I put a wrap on this post I realize that I probably do not share more about what drives the ideas behind these posts and hopefully I can get better at doing that. The fact that my brain can be complicated at times is an understatement and being able to completely divulge everything going on in my head is tough for me. There may be more to it and there may be nothing to it (yes that’s cryptic and I have been told I am good at that also).

I would like to believe that my motivation for the inspiration of this post is not only from the song that provides the soundtrack but also the thought that sometimes all of us as humans tend to keep to ourselves and push things down. The more silent we are about them the more they grow into something that isn’t always beneficial to our overall well-being. Just talking to someone and knowing that they are there goes a long way and oddly enough sometimes living day to day is the best way to cope with situations around us.

The interwebs are a powerful tool that if used properly can bring us all together or tear us apart and I personally opt to see everyone united and it’s hard but not completely hopeless. Just a thought or two thrown in here at the end, but check out the credits as I hope you’ve seen something interesting. Until the next time our paths cross, onto the next conversation…

[#519] Over And Over Again

This is madness, madness
And you know that this is madness, madness
And you know that this is
Never changing, it’s always been this way
Consuming madness, madness

All That Remains, ♫Madness

Today I’m channeling my favorite villain from the DC Universe once again. I couldn’t resist revisiting this kind of photo with both the backdrop I used and also the pose set as well because it fit so well; I have to admit that I feel these photographs turned out well and fit the mood that I was looking to achieve.

Starting out with the pose set, Animosity previously released a set of poses at the Fetish Fair and I got them right away but getting caught up in other things I completely forgot that I had picked them up. It wasn’t until I was looking through some of my unopened items that I remembered they were there (that’s the life of a blogger in a virtual world isn’t it?).

This set depicts the person who is posing holding a knife in various positions. I chose the pose that most closely resembled how my version of the Joker (which is not a cannon imagination of him, more of self thought version would be combining different looks) would give himself his trademark smile. I combined it with a gacha item from CUREMORE which is a carved in smile.

With the way the lighting worked with the backdrop it certainly makes for one of the top five creepiest photos that I’ve done but I am very proud of it.

Animosity Poses Jack Pose Pack features:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento capable viewer required)
  • Mesh knife included to work with poses (two different versions)
  • 5 different poses to choose from
  • Pose stand included also

There is about a day and a half (give or take) left of the August round of The Men’s Department and the hair I am wearing from Burley is a part of it. “Peep” is a limited edition hairstyle that comes in only the FATPACK for a value price which made it a legit bargain for me. It’s patterned after deceased rap artist Lil Peep and is a medium/long length hair that is parted in the middle. After doing some research I feel that Burley did justice in honoring his memory with this hair even though I personally have never heard any of his music.

For fans of his and anyone who just likes this type of hair style you cannot go wrong taking a trip to TMD if you haven’t already because I feel with it being limited edition you may not find this style in their main store once the event ends. Head over there asap (you can even pause reading this if you want and I won’t be offended) because after tomorrow it’s likely to be retired.

Burley Peep Hair FATPACK Limited Edition features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Full FATPACK includes 15 different color HUDs)
  • Regular and materials versions included
  • Classic hairbases and HUDs for Omega, Signature and TMP hairbases included
  • Exclusively @ TMD until Aug. 31st (will not be offered after)

Paparazzi’s “Moody Sewer” backdrop is what really pieced this all together; if it had not been for this then I may not have found myself inspired enough to pull everything in and probably would have never taken these photos which were really fun for me and gave me such a creative charge. I think what really triggered my ideas the most is that one of the backdrops is purple colored which obviously is a trademark for my favorite man who laughs.

This backdrop is highly detailed with the lower tunnel and upper railings down to the floodlights that actually illuminate the set (they can also be modified if the light is too bright for the type of mood you are aiming for). It’s the perfect place for a nefarious criminal to be hiding out from the authorities and or carving smiles into their face (whatever works right?)

Paparazzi Moody Sewer Backdrop features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • Resizable upon click
  • Purple or blue available
  • Built in lighting (modifiable via edit)
  • Exclusively (but not limited) @ Limit8 until 09/13

My wardrobe is fairly simple for this entry and one that I picked up during the Giz Seorn store sale a little while back. I couldn’t pass up the “Owen” blazer outfit that comes in Purple and Green. I knew from the second I saw it that I could find a way to use to for a look where I’d be inspired by the Joker somehow. This is probably more of a trendy current version of the psycho clown. It was just what I needed to bring my idea more to life.

I am also wearing bento gloves from Ignition, I picked these up because it has a color changing HUD that included a light and dark version of purple and thought that fit in with my idea as well. It was a good deal and helped keep this scene on a good budget as I try not to have pricey sets or scenes unless it absolutely warrants the it to capture the mood of what I have in my head.

That about does it for this blog entry and the next time I blog it will be September as this weekend brings in the changing of the months and I’ve enjoyed August and even though my number of posts was not as plentiful as they have been, I feel that I did create some really good photos with the different locations and backdrops that I used.

Quality over quantity right?

Until our paths cross again be well and treat those around you with respect as for me, onto the next conversation…

[#512] Bullet With A Name On It

I’m working harder than a hundred black mules down in Mexico.
No water, no clouds, no cover,
from the hotter than Hell no dinner bell,
empty oven again from another bad opinion.

Nonpoint, ♫Bullet With A Name

Fierce Friday…well maybe not for everyone but it sure is for me.

I was blessed to be able to work with a photographer that I’ve been wanting to do a collaboration with for the longest time, and finally I got to meet up with Travis Olbers and put my spin on the scene that you see above. He’s already posted his version of it which you can find on his FLICKR page and I really think his turned out great and it inspired me to try and do just as good of a job; I think in the long run that my version came out strong and quite like I saw in my head.

My theme for this post was quite easy considering both of us were both carrying some hardware with us preparing for the cleansing of the location called Alien Asylum (which I had never visited before until now). I feel like a good backstory behind the scene is that the two of us are hired mercs and were paid to clean out a location with our “expertise” and the photos that both Travis and I took capture the two of us leaving after causing a whole lot of chaos….which I am particularly good at in certain circumstances.

When I got the call from Travis I hadn’t had any plan for my next photo so this became an impromptu session but I was able to turn it into a blog post instead of just posting it on Flickr having done it just for fun (which it was fun but it gave me extra incentive). I had recently made a second trip to the Mesh Body Addicts Fair because I really wanted the beard that I have on. It also gave me a reason to break out items from the Gabriel gacha at The Epiphany event that I felt were great for the type of scene that was being suggested to me.

Getting back to the beard, I really like that Vista came out swinging after the release of the “Gerard” head by also releasing this beard that fits just right on the face and is similar to other beards you can find for heads made by CATWA but only fit certain ones only. “Jacob” is just for the “Gerard” head and will not fit any others and it adjusts with your face sliders as well for a fit second to none.

Vista Animations Jacob Beard (Bento) features:

  • Bento mesh mustache and beard
  • HUD allows you to hide either the mustache or beard
  • 5 different hair colors to choose from
  • Tintable option within HUD to give you more than initial color choices
  • Exclusive to the Mesh Body Addicts Fair until August 21st

When Gabriel releases a gacha set I generally have a lot of interest in it and there are so many that I’m saving for the right moment but after getting really lucky with the machine at the latest round of The Epiphany I thought it would be good to use it for this photo. I am wearing shoes from the set but with the angle I chose they didn’t make it into the actual photo but I will also add a pic of the key so that if you see items from the set that you want you can grab them and now would be a good time to do so as the event’s been open a while and will not be so crowded you would feel like you’re wading in quicksand.

The outfit feels very mercenary like which is the vibe I wanted to give off and I think that I pulled it off well enough that it won’t get lost in translation. Of course I played to win all of the black items in the set and managed to do so in a very limited number of pulls of the machine which rarely ever happens for me. I’ve seen quite a few photos with people wearing some of these items (including the rare coat) but I chose not to with feeling that mechanically if I’m dealing out punishment it would hinder the process.

Gabriel Strap Tank / Black & Strap Line Pants / Black features:

  • 100% rigged mesh
  • Part of Gacha set
  • Both items are common pulls
  • Machine costs $75L to play
  • Fitted sizes for both Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Only @ The Epiphany gacha event through August 12th!

GABRIEL@Epiphany

With the weekend approach I hope that I can get at least another planned photo session done because there are several ideas that I have stirring around in my head but it really all boils down to time and having enough of it free to accomplish something.

As I wrap this up and leave you with the credits, I would like to thank Travis Olbers for inviting me to join him to work on a joint photo. It was a lot of fun and I certainly would enjoy doing it again in the future (and hopefully it doesn’t take us forever to set something up again right? Haha). Have a great weekend everyone and until our paths cross again, onto the next conversation…

[#508] Well, I Do

If they say

Who cares if one more light goes out
In the sky of a million stars?
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone’s time runs out
If a moment is all we are?
We’re quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well, I do

Linkin Park, ♫One More Light

No truer words could be said at this moment as I’m taking a special moment from my regularly scheduled blogging to put out this tribute post. Plenty of people think it is silly how society as a whole becomes attached to celebrities (Actors/Actresses, Musicians, Authors and other known persons) but they come into our lives and in some way make an impact on us that is with us for however long we exist.

When someone is no longer on this planet whether it be of old age, disease, accident or even suicide it’s impact can have a huge effect on the society which valued the body of work they have given the world and that is why tonight I am remembering Chester Bennington. His voice and words may have been from one degree to another from despair to hope they’ve lasted in many of Linkin Park’s fans that are still reeling from a year ago when he took his own life.

Everyone can try to play armchair therapist or say that there’s always a way to fix things but maybe sometimes it is too late for someone to realize it and they feel it is too far help. Many of us wish that we could have given back to him everything he gave to the fans and it will always ring through our minds and hearts. I’ve spoken to several people today who have been helped in some way by his words, that have helped them cope and grieve over their issues to rise up from them and take that knowledge to help the next person.

I as much as anyone else miss him and through the music of the band that we do have (and maybe from things that could be released from the vault later on if there is such a thing) we’ll always be able to carry his memory. If it is possible and anyone is reading this tonight, light a candle in honor of Chester whether you enjoyed his art or not and not only him, light it for someone you’ve lost.

Until our paths cross again, on to the next conversation…

[#502] Fourth Of July

It was the Fourth of July
You and I were, you and I were fire, fire, fireworks
That went off too soon
And I miss you in the June gloom, too
It was the Fourth of July
You and I were, you and I were fire, fire, fireworks
I said I’d never miss you
But I guess you never know
May the bridges I have burned light my way back home
On the Fourth of July

Fall Out Boy, ♫Fourth Of July

As I sit down to write out this blog most people might have a sparkler in their hand and or a beverage of their choice celebrating America’s day of independence. It has a lot of meaning and also different meanings to people here in the US and beyond the parties and family get together’s, it means that we are a free country but with that freedom our nation has paid many prices for that. So before I get into the rest of this posting, I’d like to thank all the people that have served our country past, present, or in the near future and also to the families of those whose loved ones lost their lives defending all the beliefs we stand upon. Being able to live without complete fear or terror is something that none of us should ever take for granted.

Now that I am done with the super serious part of this post I can get into the actual blog itself and the scene I shot. The other day I was talking with one of my longtime friends and they suggested that I do a photo around this time using the song “Fourth Of July” by Fall Out Boy for a soundtrack. I couldn’t quite remember the song so I went back and listened to it and some ideas came through my head as to how I could do it and going through some of my event items and other purchases I pulled together a cool scene that I was able to do right in my own home without having to go find a location.

While I am hitting the Pose Fair super hard right now I am featuring another gacha set but this time from [Phantom Animations] whose items I have blogged in the past from a different event. The set is called “Just A Selfie” and as the name implies offers poses which include a phone as if you are taking or looking at photos on it; I was able to use the pose without having to adjust my shape for it which is sometimes necessary.

[Phantom Animations] Just A Selfie features:

  • 10 poses (8 common, 1 RARE, 1 Ultra RARE)
  • 5 male poses (1 RARE)
  • 4 female poses
  • 1 couples pose (Ultra RARE)
  • 2 different cell phone props included for use
  • Currently available at the Pose Fair until July 31st

Also here is the Gacha key for those of you who are interested in the rest of the set!

Phantom Animations - Just A Selfie Gacha Pose Fair July 2018

The Men Jail is set to open in just 4 days (on the 8th) and I’m already diving into the products that have come through to event bloggers. For this scene I picked out the “[Sweatband Set] MVP” by PBM (aka Pee Bee McMillan) as I was still wearing the Gianni body and this product was only fitted for Signature products it made the most sense to me and helped me put together a sporty type look.

PBM [Sweatband Set] MVP features:

  • Left and Right Armbands
  • Left and Right Wristbands
  • Plain and MVP designs
  • Color change HUD (10 colors)
  • Fits Signature Geralt and Gianni
  • Available at The Men Jail starting July 8th

Modulus has been known in the past for their clothing and skins and facial hairs, known more now for their cool hair and accessories…they are now trying their hand at something different. It was something the people asked for and they responded and have finally released body hair as a part of “What Men Want”. I figured I would try this out as most avi’s that go shirtless are usually waxed and do not have hair whatsoever. Putting this on made me feel a bit more like a normal guy instead of a magazine model.

It never surprises me when Chucky Hollak tries something new because I know that when he does that he’s going to ace it and it only makes me wonder what is next for him and the Modulus brand. You just never know what you might see hitting event shelves or his main store shelves.

Modulus Body Hair Set 1 features:

  • Black/Brown or Tintable options
  • Regular or Heavy versions
  • Omega appliers for both Belleza and Signature bodies

During one of my stops to Hipster Men’s Event I couldn’t leave without purchasing one of the latest sneaker products from Dossier. I remember them before from their mesh beard days and it’s nice to see the brand branch out and try something different and even though I have similar pairs of shoes like these from other stores it still wouldn’t stop me because it’s sold completely as a FATPACK and also it has color options that my other shoes do not have. Everyone likes to think that only gals have shoe addictions well this fella does as well!

Dossier Sneakers Virtuous features:

  • Fatpack includes Texture HUD
  • 12 colors (6 plain, 6 pattern)
  • Belleza (Jake)
  • Signature (Geralt and Gianni)
  • Maitreya for the ladies
  • Unrigged for classic avatars

The Men’s Department opens it’s doors for the July round tomorrow and I was able to get my hands one on of the items from the event to aid in my look. As you can probably tell over the many blogs I’ve posted that I’m very big into having facial hair and without guessing an exact number I would say a good third or more of the posts on this site feature me having it as a part of my look. Birth is releasing a stubble called “Bristly Beard” and I am a big fan of it already from the moment I looked at my face and I have a feeling that this item will do well for guys that like just a bit of facial hair without having a lumberjack beard so this is definitely for that kind of person.

Birth Bristle Beard features:

  • Catwa and Omega HUD appliers
  • White/Tintable, Black, Blonde, Brown and Red tones

Hopefully now that all the fireworks are done I can go and relax and recharge my batteries so I can start fresh and get to work my look and flesh out ideas for my next blog post. I’m definitely also going to take a trip to The Men’s Department and get a better look at all the new items for sale at the event and see what ends up coming home with me. I hope everyone has had a great Independence Day as well as stayed cool and safe. That is all I have for this one but until our paths cross again,

onto the next conversation…

[#486] And What Of My Soul?

All those things that you couldn’t say
You should’ve said
All those I-love-you’s lost
Weighed more like lead on your chest

Atreyu, ♫The Remembrance Ballad

WOW, it has been some time since I’ve done a “fantasy” type blog post.

Pulling this together took more than I want to go over the details of considering that there were several outfit changes (not by me personally but for Brena) to make this come to life (or is that unlife?) Image Essentials released a group of different poses that focused on vampires and this is a topic I’ve always been interested in that began when I was much younger than I am today.

Whether it is books, movies, or even rpg’s or video games that have to do with these creatures, be sure that I’m all in (though I’m not the biggest fan of Twilight because vampires do not sparkle…sorry!) It even reminds me of something some of you in-world might have heard of called Bloodlines. When I first started out my virtual journey I remember the game/rp and I entertained the idea of getting involved with it but the more research I did, the more I found out what a blatant money soak it was and for me there wasn’t enough of a TRUE role-play experience for me so I took a pass on it. I come from a very extensive RP background well before my time in this virtual world and felt that I would be selling out to something I felt was against what I stood for creatively.

There are some of you that might have played it (or still do if it is still a thing) and if I have offended you then I apologize sincerely but I do not feel like there is anything wrong with having a difference in opinion.

During the process of staging the photo and getting everything prepared it helped that several products other than the “Bloodlust” bento 2 person pose by Image Essentials. Go&See’s latest skin “Theo” is also available at Men Only Monthly and let me tell you when it comes to skins that allow an avatar to look gothic or vampiric, Kristyna Wikifoo does the best job. I’ve used the “Goth” tone of skins by Go&See for several photos and they’ve all come out the way I’ve wanted. With the way the lighting came together I certainly have the undead creature of the night down pat.

Besides the Goth applier (which includes two HUDs for both CATWA and OMEGA), the skin is also available in Pale. Summer, Tan and Dark Tan and feature options for brows/no brows as well as facial hair options mixed in. The body skins are sold separately for OMEGA compatible bodies and only work with the latest versions of Go&See products.

Men Only Monthly runs from the 20th of April until the 15th of May so there is still plenty of time to check it out.

FaMESHed is also back again and for those of you fortunate enough to have been able to make it in there you’ve seen plenty of new fashion, accessories, and decoration. It was a fruitful trip for both myself and Brena as we both found new items to use in our wardrobes as you are about to find out in a moment. The event is celebrating it’s 6th anniversary which seems CRAZY to think it has been that long since the very first event took place. Even before I started blogging I still was very much into all sorts of things like furniture that I could find at the event so it’s really great to see it still going strong with so much support.

Once again I’ve been hit by the Deadwool bug. Their latest item at FaMESHed is the “Lorenzo” shirt which is a half buttoned tucked in shirt that gives you the option to wear it with or without an undershirt both of which can be colored by HUD if you’ve purchased the FATPACK (which is the only real way for me despite the elevated cost). If the FATPACK is just a little bit out of your limit there are three different packs (Light, Medium, and Dark) that you can certainly get your fill if there’s a certain grouping of colors you can’t live without. I do see myself wearing this shirt in different stylings over time so it validated my choice of going all the way and getting the FATPACK.

Finding the right dress that really worked with the theme was definitely a challenge for me to get Brena ready but while I was at the FaMESHed I came across the “Embroidered Strap Bodycon Dress” by Rebel Gal. I chose the wine color because it matched the red highlights in her hair and so I coordinated her dress to that and it worked out perfectly. The dress has two faces to it (the shirt and the dress itself) and an included HUD allows for you to change the color of the top with a variety of different options so that you won’t have to worry about it being stale after a while for those of you who like to wear things more than once (and I hope you would otherwise it would be a gross misuse of funds).

With my last new piece of my look (to which I am slightly behind but am going to be caught up with very soon and humbly apologize) I have a very recent hair release from Modulus which is named “Mateo”. It’s a short length hair that I personally think would work best with a shaved base but you can still go with a normal base if you are not truly a fan of the shaved style.

As with previously releases there are 25 different colors divided into 5 HUDS (all 5 are available in a FATPACK to save you some dough) and each one has an integrated color tinting section to give you unlimited options. This item can be found at the Modulus store as well as online at their marketplace location both of which you will have access to down in the credits below.

This was definitely quite the enjoyable challenge but for now it is time for me to wrap this up so I can begin to stage my next photo/look as there’s always plenty to wear and feature; I’m looking forward to seeing what turns up next and what location or backdrop (whichever the case might be) becomes the next visual. Hope everyone has had an enjoyable weekend and until our paths cross again,

Onto the next conversation…

[#485] I Hope You’re Somewhere Praying

I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying
I hope your soul is changing, changing
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, praying

Kesha, ♫Praying

Recently I was given a name and a taxi to a location by a friend who had used it in one of their photos because I wanted to see what I could do with it myself. That’s one of the great things about photographers, they can come up with their own vision using something that might have already been photographed but done in a different way.

2elwe is an interesting location and very good for mood; it’s what I would consider to be post-apocalyptic based on the fact that it is desolate and rainy. When I roamed around and found my exact spot. The direction I thought I could take this was maybe a bit of a prequel/sequel to my blog entry “After The Storm” with the rain being so far away. A way to look at it is the story could go from being in the middle of the storm and traveling to finally get out of it.

The last time I posted I shared that I have become a partner with the Native Urban brand, which I am happy to be a part of their blogging family. There are so many great and different styles of clothing and accessories to choose from and the quality is excellent. I remember the first time that I encountered products from them was at the SWANK event. I stopped right away when I came to their booth and knew that I had never seen them before but I liked what I saw and instantly made a purchase.

For my first blog post to feature them as a blogger for their brand, I am wearing the limited edition version of the Anjuna Sweater from the Limit8 event. I really love the style of this product and I’m going to refer to it as a hoodie because that’s what it is to me. I’m wearing the Belleza Jake version which comes in two different “sizes”. There is a version with a more open hood for people who want to wear hair with it and a closer version like I have on for those who choose not to. One of the things I like best is the varying lengths of the sleeves as most items you see are always the same length which makes this a bit more unique in design. For non Belleza body owners this also comes with sizes for Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique mesh bodies.

Only 100 copies of this are being sold and it is still available but you need to act fast because once they are gone, they are gone forever. The Limit8 event runs until the 13th of May but you may not want to wait until the last minute because this great item will be gone.

Given the location I was photographing at and the main item of my look was the Anjuna Sweater, I figured that I would go with a bit of an urban look mixed with a bit of nerd (I’m all about fusion…well maybe). Jeans are always something I’m looking at when I am out shopping and there are always a lot of different options and styles of denim that make it hard to decline.

During the April round of The Men’s Department I grabbed the FATPACK of the “Loose Straight” jeans by ::K:: (by Kitt Ragu). I love the look of these and having the option of wearing (or not wearing) a belt is a cool option. A lot of the times with jeans you don’t get a choice of being able to add or subtract the belt and it is harder to pair it with things for fear of clipping into one another (which is a pain as I’m sure anyone who has ever been a blogger/photographer can attest to). The FATPACK includes 6 different denim colors that fit Belleza, Signature (Geralt & Gianni versions) and also SLink Physique mesh bodies.

You can pick these up at the mainstore and if you are a jeans collector like myself, you’ll want to go take a look at these.

As I wrap this up I have some really good ideas (or what I think to be at least) for some photos in the next little while so stay tuned for cool fashion, hair, and poses from my favorite brands such Cold-Ash, Native Urban, Modulus and Image Essentials. Also throw some things in from events like Kustom9, Men Only Monthly, and The Men’s Dept (which opens Saturday the 5th!).

Until the next time our paths cross, onto the next conversation…
