I don’t mind pretending I’m someone else, whoever you want me to be
As long as I’m inside you, you’ll never want me to leave
It’s the way you want it

The Blank Theory, ♫Addicted

In my last blog I peeled a few layers off of what my normal blog style is usually and with that mindset, I chose to take it a little further even and get Brenna involved in the process; she was absolutely encouraging and wonderful with this process as I push my boundaries even further. With the help of RM Poses, we were able to explore uncharted territory in my photography and blogging portfolio.

“Strawberries For You” is a couples pose that shows a sensual side of feeding your lover the tasty fruit. I find that this pose is classy and has great views in several different directions, which I’ve explored as well during the photo session for this blog post (and why wouldn’t I all things considered). I have to make a note to those who might be interested in this pose because of the fact that with how it is set up there is some adjusting that will need to be done especially if both avatars are of different heights. It’s a fantastic pose and I’m glad I got the opportunity to be able to use it.

Also like my last blog I have a few more items from The Men Jail event to just about wrap up my coverage for January. With showing more skin if that is what I’m going to do then why not show ink on my pixels as I do have some in the real world but not as much as I can have in the virtual landscape. “The Demon Horror” Tattoo by KAOS Tattoos is definitely an interesting look and lives up to its name.

With tattoos I tend to usually only apply the light versions but it is also nice to have the medium and dark options as well just in case I were to ever change my mind. I just have a weird way with tattoos and the dark (or fresh as I refer to it as) option just doesn’t really translate virtually as it does in the real world. It isn’t the fault of any tattoo makers it is just what they have to work with. This is a creative design and I could also see wearing it during a role-play situation where a character might be into a darker lifestyle.

Many times I have said that I don’t blog accessories like necklaces or bracelets often but I could not pass up the opportunity to take a look at the “Dan Bracelet” by NaaNaa’s. It is a beaded style with all the things I happen to like (such as skulls and a cross) which given the overall theme of this post makes a lot of sense as “Addicted” by The Blank Theory serves as the soundtrack to this post. I feel like it could be interpreted many ways as how the addiction party plays out but I’m going with the human interaction aspect of it.

KAOS Tattoo – Demon Horror

  • Belleza, Maitreya, Omega and SLink Appliers included
  • 3 tones to choose from (Light, Medium and Dark)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

NaaNaa’s – Dan Bracelet

  • Original mesh
  • Resizable
  • 5 metals changeable via HUD
  • Left and right bracelets included
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

Modulus is once again back as my hair stylist with their latest, the “Bailey Hair” that is currently at Equal10. There are a lot of quality events that Modulus releases products at but I think Equal10 is truly the most visual appealing because of the cool retro 80’s layout. I could be a bit biased because that is something I know a little bit about.

This is a short to medium length hair swept off to the sides (which you can choose with both left and right versions of the hair). It’s also nice that their are little flyaway strands which is something I can tell you Modulus excels at and it’s not flat hair that doesn’t have any kind of action or movement because who wants that? On top of that the brand gets better and better all the time which keeps its core base of loyal shoppers coming back with more joining the family every day.

Modulus – Bailey Hair

  • 100% original “nex-gen” alpha mesh
  • 5 Color HUD packs + integrated tinting within HUD
  • 40 color FATPACK also available
  • Left and right mirror versions
  • Exclusively @ Equal 10 until 02/05/19

Some other notes to cover is that Brenna has a few event release items as well which consist of the “NaturalLite Lashes #2” by Mai Bilavio and “Glow” tattto by Speakeasy that can both be found at the Access event. For the fellas that might have significant women in their lives I can definitely recommend the “Simplicity Lingerie” by Moon Amore that is waiting to be had at Collabor88. This is certainly an attention grabber that any lingerie connoisseur will want to have in their collection.

Lastly, with the amount of blogs I have posted this month, it should give a lot of reasons to go hit the hot events and take a look at what is new across the grid. If I were a regular customer, I would certainly be browsing all of these events hoping to find fun things. On that note I think it is time to wrap things up and get things set for the next blog which I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet as I can now actively blog any item from the Pose Fair I choose so that gives me a lot of options and perhaps way too many ideas.

Keep the conversations going and perhaps maybe I started some new ones just now!

[#577] I’m A Slave 4 U

What’s practical is logical. What the hell, who cares?
All I know is I’m so happy when you’re dancing there.

Britney Spears, ♫I’m A Slave 4 U

After seeing the first image it will tell you that I definitely have not done a lot of photos in this manner before (or ever) but I thought since I did once use a Miley Cyrus song for a blog post that I’d dig deep and throw one out by Britney. She used to go to college for a short time in my area before she truly hit it big (and before this song came out I’m almost certain). So I grabbed some of the most appropriate items from The Men Jail and got cracking.

Generally I don’t seem wear accessories like necklaces or bracelets much less collars (as I’m vaguely familiar to what it is they are all about) but I certainly got a crash course with the HK Design’s “Neon Collar”. The collar comes in a scripted and unscripted version but for those who you who are knowledgeable with the RLV system (which if I’m certain is a Firestorm Viewer feature) it will allow you to give someone you trust the ability to do all sorts of different things and from what I saw includes sitting you on furniture or to pose in predetermined poses. For those of you who are a bit skeptical of the RLV thing there is the regular version that is just an accessory piece.

Being that this is one of the few times (I may have worn similar items before but I don’t remember 100%) I think that stepping out of my zone for a photo session like this is definitely a lot different then my usual process. Perhaps I will venture into deeper waters but I’m taking small steps at a time because I think if I dive off the building too quickly it is going to backfire and I will not want to do things of this type again but only time will tell!

HK Designs – Neon Collar

  • Original mesh
  • Unscripted and RLV enabled collars included
  • Color change HUD that includes a total of 8 colors
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

The last few rounds of TMJ have featured a backdrop Gacha by The Bearded Guy; last month I blogged one from their “Our Heroes” set that I really enjoyed so I made it a plan to do so again with one from the “Different Feelings” set, which I am using the RARE “Hope” backdrop. The neon rainbow triangle is really awesome under certain lighting so I’d definitely recommend playing this machine or for those who are ambitious enough can buy the entire set outright and save the frustration of trying to win the ones you want (as I’ve been in that position many times).

The thought I had going into this photo is that yes, I am a straight male, but with that in mind I am comfortable with being able to feature items that might be marketed towards the LGBTQIA+ community. I firmly stand by the LGBTQIA+ community and show my support when I can via blogs, as well as encouraging friends who sometimes deal with situations in their lives that negatively impact them. Just to be clear, I’m not making any kind of crazy statement, I’m just showing some love and blogging some fun items.

The Bearded Guy – Hope *RARE* Backdrop

  • Part of the Different Feelings Gacha Set
  • 5 commons, 1 RARE to play for
  • FATPACK option available
  • Original mesh
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

Concluding the items from The Men Jail for this post is the pose pack that I am using from LUSH Poses. “Gone” is a pose set that features a mix of standing, leaning and sitting poses which is just right for those who may have some indecisive tendencies (such as myself). I determined that the best course of action to take with my photo is to lean slightly against the wall and let the glow of the neon bathe me for a cool effect.

This pose set has 7 different poses to choose from with an option of static poses (to be used in a personal pose stand), posesballs, and a pose stand that allows for its user to cycle through each pose. Mirror versions of all 7 poses are included as well so that a photo can be taken from the subjects best side. I haven’t had much interaction with Lush poses but I being a fan of poses (it is pretty obvious by now) that I will keep an eye on this store as well for the future.

Lush Poses – Gone Pose Pack

  • Bento enabled poses (bento viewer required)
  • 7 different poses (including mirror versions)
  • Static, Poseball and Posestands included
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail @ 01/28/19

The Epiphany is once again open for it’s first round of the year and the hair I am wearing is from Tableau Vivant as part of the “Bad Girls + Boys” set. I like the fact that they did something for both the men and women in this set (though to be fair the hair that I have on is unisex and the other hairstyles are for the ladies). At first I was unclear of which was which but I figured things out pretty quickly and also noticed that there are three different hairbase versions you can play for as well.

I kept to my usual hairbase as my photo wasn’t really focusing on the hair as it is an added bonus to the items I’m blogging from TMJ. Those who are fans of Tableau Vivant they should give this set a try and they may get lucky as one of the RARE packs came to me pretty quickly and I gladly passed it on to Brenna to wear as it wouldn’t do me any real good (and would look better on her).

There were a few other fun machines I played at the event like the CUREMORE “AsylumVillains” set (yes it is for women but I have a wife who will wear something if I asked or also the female version of me which I shall now refer by going forward as Lilith. I also have some fun items from the new Gabriel set (which is always a must for me as I’ve been a big fan of theirs over the years).

On that note it is time for me to get this here entry published and then start work on writing the next blog which I have already taken the photos for but have yet to see if they need any minor touches; I can say this: it’s something that I’ve never tried before and will certainly be different to the eyes of those who have visited this site often over time.

For all those out there I wish nothing but positive energy and thoughts as well as to keep the conversations going in the best way possible.

Until then be well with warm regards,

B

[#576] Dangerous Night

What a dangerous night to fall in love
Don’t know why we still hide what we’ve become
Do you want to cross the line?
We’re running out of time
A dangerous night to fall in love

Thirty Seconds To Mars, ♫Dangerous Night

Unlike previous rounds of Pose Fair, I was able to add myself to be able to blog couples poses from the romantic category. Brenna has been a blessing in disguise with her willingness to help me bring the poses of wonderful creators to life with the visions I pull from my head. As much as I consider myself a male blogger and this a male blog overall, this has become almost somewhat of an all purpose place for me to be creative with things that catch my attention.

During the process of taking the photos for this post, I only chose one out of the few I took because to me it was the epitome of what I saw in my head. After completely a few minor adjustments, I showed it to Brenna and she absolutely loved how it turned out and as such is going to end up as a portrait in our home. I can honestly say that means something to me that we can chronicle things like this and remember them as they are affixed to a wall.

Hazeel is one of the stores participating at Pose Fair that I’m unfamiliar but from their releases this round they are on my radar and I will surely be looking out for more of what they do. Their “Enticing” pose has what I would say is a touch of elegance with the chair prop and the way the poses give the idea of a couple that are super classy.

I like that it differs from other couple’s poses that are super up close and lovey (which there is nothing wrong with); it gives a different perspective of how two people can be close with each other without intimacy just a longing look. I find it also wonderful that the included chair prop went well with at least one part of the house that we could photograph.

Hazeel – Enticing Pose & Prop

  • Bento enabled pose (bento viewer required)
  • Mesh chair prop included (with poses inside)
  • Poseballs for both male and female props also included
  • Static poses for male and female included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

For my look I took things that I previously blogged that I really liked (the “Leo hair” from Modulus and the “Grayson Roll-Up Trousers” from Cold-Ash) and paired it with a shirt/vest combination by Tori Toricelli that I picked up at the December round of the Man Cave. I planned it use it for another photo down the line but I changed my mind at the last minute and used it for this shot; it’s also possible that I can maybe use it then too if enough time passes.

While I stuck to going with older items, Brenna is the new items champion as she brings to her look a bunch of items from Collabor88 including the “Julie” hair from Exile and the “Fancy Blazer and Pants” separates by Pixicat. I really loved the style of the outfit she has on because of how classy the picture is and the ad for the pose shows the female with a dress on. Brenna seems to be a lot better at going outside of traditional ideas then I am but I’m certainly working at it and what I can say now is that will be sooner than later.

On that note I am going to move onto the credits phase of the post due to the fact that the pose and prop set are the only truly new items featured in this post besides Brenna’s items. This also gives me the ability to publish this post and get to work on whatever happens to be next, I’ll probably throw in another entry that’s just me before I get to the other blog post that I also shot with Brenna recently.

Many thanks to anyone who put up with what I consider my ramblings. Whether I know it or not, I do this more than just for me and also because it brings a lot of enjoyment even when it seems like the post is somewhat of a downer (we all have our moments and that is how this thing called life works). Until the next time keep the conversations going!

Warmest regards,

B

[#575] I’m On Top Of The World

I’ve been waiting to smile,
Been holding it in for a while,
Take you with me if I can
Been dreaming of this since a child

Imagine Dragons, ♫On Top Of The World

Wow…that’s the word that would best describe the first two weeks of this year so far. I could try to explain it in greater detail but I feel like I would likely get close to novella type proportions by describing everything that’s gone on. The fact is that I have been really getting back something I thought might have been lost somewhere along the way last year; it just needed a jump start.

Part of this resurgence is my constant work with items from Pose Fair. Many of the items have given me a lot of ideas and I have some for things I haven’t blogged yet but hope to get to now that I fulfilled the main things that have been asked of me. Killing it would be the best way to say in regards to the fair and I feel like a kid in a candy store. I love having brands with clothing as partners but I think in ways I really get inspired most by poses so it makes sense that I am inspired so much by this event.

The other part is the support and encouragement I’ve received from Brenna, Lucky and several others that are a part of my little tribe. I know the people with which I can count on and I know that if I ask for their advice that I would get a straight answer without any bs responses that would cater to what I wanted to hear and that’s something anyone would want out of their people.

I also earned a new brand partner which as soon as there is a new item to blog I will talk about it more and truthfully I am still pinching myself believing that it actually happened but it shows me that hard work pays off even when you least expect it to which is why I chose “On Top Of The World” by Imagine Dragons as my soundtrack for this blog entry. It is my current state of mind and also there is a line in it about paying dues and as a blogger I know I pay them all the time without ever really wanting anything in return.

The hairstyle I have on is the latest release at TMD by Modulus, which is of course a favorite brand (not just saying it because I blog for them but I do consider the teams I am apart of favorites as well as being passionate about them). “Miles” is a short style that has a few little strands of hair that run along the eyebrow region.

Out of the latest release that Modulus has made I figured this worked best as my pixels are parked on top of the fictional version of the CN Tower, aka Bad Unicorns “Tower 6”. To be completely honest though the real me would never be that brave to try and find a way to just chill on top of a huge place like that without a parachute mainly because I’m deathly afraid of heights; it’s a good thing nothing happens if you accidentally fall off something tall in Second Life.

Landing is not impactful nor will it cause permanent damage to you.

Modulus – Miles Hair

  • 100% original “nex-gen” alpha mesh
  • 5 color HUD packs + integrated tinting on the HUD
  • 40 color FATPACK is also available
  • Left or right mirrored versions
  • Exclusively @ TMD until 01/30/19

For The Men Jail I have two items in my style to share and I will start with the “Isis Eyes” by Madame Noir. I have to say that this are definitely more for fantasy looks but I like them so much I really didn’t care (as I don’t really do those kinds of photos although I should). Each color has a metallic feel to it which works great with many lighting sources to pull out their intensity.

The jacket I have on is from Kaju, I wore a sweater from this store in the blog that featured me doing insane sledding. This item is called the “Eric Jacket” and is an open styled jacket with a shirt that has 6 different colors for each part in the FATPACK version. Kaju in the last few rounds of TMJ have put out some great items that I have been excited about showing off and I hope this trend continues. I hope that readers of this blog check this store out and give them some love and support because I definitely feel they deserve it.

Madame Noir – Isis Eyes

  • Mesh eyeballs with HUD included in pack
  • Applier HUDs for both CATWA and LeLutka
  • 13 different iris styles to choose from
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

Kaju – Eric Jacket

  • Original Mesh
  • Single styles for sale
  • FATPACK includes HUD with 6 color choices (for Jacket and Shirt)
  • Fitted for Signature Gianni Only
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

Sometimes with events I get introduced to stores that I may have never heard of before or know very little about. To me that is akin to listening to the radio or going on YouTube to watch videos and finding new music to listen to that I am likely to become a fan of. So for this round of Pose Fair I have been introduced to a store called POSIES, which I have the honor of blogging their “Men Mood Sits” pose pack.

Sitting poses are tricky sometimes because I always feel like if I use them with a piece of furniture that already has poses, it is somewhat like false advertising because if someone chooses to go look for the furniture in the photo and tests out the poses while not finding the pose that I used it can be very disappointing I imagine. Being that there is not any poses in the tower, I am able to use this set without feeling guilty or leading someone astray.

One of the best things I like about this set is that it offers mirror poses (some sides photograph better just like in real life) and also has versions for short and tall avatars. That truly is an amazing thing that I think could be considered by pose creators in the future as not everyone is the same height on the grid (there are short avatars; some that are mid sized like myself and then there are some that could give the Jolly Green Giant a run for his money).

POSIES – Men Mood Sit Pose Pack

  • Bento enabled poses (bento viewer required)
  • 10 poses in all
  • Short, Tall and Mirror variations included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

I hope the positivity of this pose carries on to anyone reading this because good things can happen when you least expect them too. This is definitely something that I hope I don’t come down from and that all of the inspiration, support and encouragement that I receive from those closest to me and also the blogger community when it applies can be given back in any way I possibly can.

Perhaps on social media finding another blogger’s posting and sharing it with a kind word sometime during this week is a challenge I issue to myself and to those visiting and reading this post. Appreciation can go a long way and how fair it goes is up to everyone. On that note, I am finishing this one up and going to figure out what’s next.

Keep the conversations going and have some fun browsing and shopping all the latest events! Until next time…

[#574] This Is Gospel

‘Cause these words are knives and often leave scars
The fear of falling apart
And truth be told, I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apart

Panic! At The Disco, ♫This Is Gospel

After realizing that I’ve been hitting Pose Fair super hard (which is still continuing because I’m insane) I also had to remind myself that there are still plenty of excellent things from The Men Jail to blog and get out there on the interwebs as well as a backdrop from Paparazzi that’s been needing my attention. Yes, I am also using a pose from Pose Fair so there are tons of awesome things here.

I’ll start off with the “Preach The Word” backdrop from Paparazzi which is what I would consider a techno church (that is the visual representation I am guessing). This part of the scene is what prompted me to use Panic! At The Disco’s “This Is Gospel” for the sounds of his entry. It is probably one of my top five songs done by the Brandon Urie led band (which sometimes is just him depending on if you know anything about its history). I found PATD’s music several years ago which I freely admit I’m a late adopter because I’d only heard “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” now and again but didn’t really look into them more until the track “Nine In The Afternoon” became a playable track on the Rock Band game series.

The neon in the backdrop nails the overall essence of the backdrop and truthfully I’m not trying to make any kind of religious statement or anything like that, I just love how this looks it worked with the idea I had and I ran with it just to clarify (even if I don’t really have to and I don’t feel obligated either).

Paparazzi – Preach The Word Backdrop:

  • Original Mesh build
  • Modifiable to suit photography needs
  • Lighting and neon glow built in
  • Currently for sale @ the Paparazzi in-world location

Starting out with the first item I have from The Men Jail I will go from top to bottom to make it easier for me. My hairstyle is from Letituier called “Deric” and the best way for me to describe it if I was asked is that it is a bit of a new age mop do. It has a futuristic vibe or perhaps a throwback to the 80’s feel to it but it is bunch up at the top of the head.

My description of hairstyles is likely not a benefit but I always figure at least the visuals give a better representation of what is being sold; I would also say for the people that like outside the box type hairstyles then Letituier is the way to go then. They are often at TMJ so I get to see the differences from one release to another and when I want to try something that isn’t your basic barbershop style it is a quick go to.

Letituier – Deric Hair:

  • Original mesh
  • 6 color HUDs to choose from
  • FATPACK also available
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

There is at least one time to my memory that I recall featuring eyes by the brand, Gloom. I really do love eyes and the fact that it doesn’t matter if there’s tons of different stores out on the grid there is something for everyone. This store has also made quite a few appearances in previous rounds of TMJ and their eyes are totally worth blogging and letting people out there know they exist.

There are only a small handful of colors in this pack but I think what is offered in this pack will entice both those in the market for new peepers or those who like to dabble in role-play situations and want to give their fantasy look a bit of a boost. Also I think that Gloom having appliers for the major applier types helps as well because then no one is left out that might want to give them a try.

Getting a close-up of them was also important to me as well so that some of the detail could be seen. Farther back shots which I take when I want to get at least 3/4 of a pose that I’m blogging restricts getting a good view of the details as normally they wouldn’t be seen without getting extremely close in person either.

Gloom – Stargaze Collection:

  • Applier HUDs for CATWA, Genus and LeLutka (sold separately)
  • 9 colors to choose from (8 sold separately)
  • FATPACK also available
  • Left and right side applier HUD (can be mixed and matched)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

The baggy pants I have on are a particular style that I have not worn probably in a good while, possibly even more than a year or longer but RL Fashion released the “Baggy Pants” for TMJ and with the Unleashed “Crewneck Shirt” I paired them with made up my full wardrobe. Wearing jeans and slacks is easy and you can find them at every event but to take a step out in baggies is to me one of those “straying from the usual lane” that I tend to fall under.

One thing I can say for certain is at least virtually I don’t have to worry about wind because with these pants I feel that it would be pretty drafty especially in the winter months that I’m experiencing so there is a bright side there. Another thing that I can say in the positive for RL Fashions is they do offer an good range of different colors of these pants which may make it difficult for potential buyers but they are very affordable and picking up more than one won’t break the $L balance.

RL Fashion – Baggy Pants:

  • Original mesh
  • 12 different fabric colors (sold separately)
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique mesh bodies
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19

Grafica Poses has two releases for Pose Fair in the January round (one of which is a male standing pose pack and the other a male sitting pack, of which I’ve chosen the standing to blog). Diwedd is a excellent pose pack that is straight forward and doesn’t have extremely crazy moments and while there is nothing wrong with that I felt that putting my arms behind my back is not a position I pose myself in often. 2019 is for me going to be a year of doing different things whether it be different styles of clothing, poses, skins or whatever happens to not be something I do regularly.

This blog pack is precisely 10 poses (five poses with five mirrors) that have really good fluidity and there were several candidates that could have easily made the photo I took turn out different but intuition when it is strong will not usually steer you in the wrong direction. I like the arms positioned behind the body which could indicate fidgeting or uncomfortability. Though there are people out there that tend to feel or act that way in a church which makes sense as well.

I would have posted the pose key with the blog but after looking on Flickr and through different medias there was not one with all the poses on it (only just one with the store ad I saw). Taking a trip to the fair will allow the poses to be tested and that allows for flexibility with purchasing.

Grafica Poses – Diwedd Pose Pack:

  • Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required)
  • 5 different poses (5 mirror poses also included)
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

This certainly was a lot to get through and I did my best to keep from word vomiting as much as possible but for those readers that made it this far you get the tasty metaphorical pastry of your choice! Having this many things to talk about and make sure the right information is presented adds a bit of difficulty to the mix. Many probably skipped to the good part and went right for the credits and if I didn’t enjoy reading and came to this blog I’d likely do the same thing.

On that note though I will end things with those previously mentioned credits and take a small breather before working one the next blog that has actually already been photographed (during the mass photo session of this past weekend). More awesome things to feature and hopefully get people excited about as I am excited about them (or what would be the point of blogging them right?)

May the conversations keep flowing and hope that this inspires people to get creative or go on a great shopping excursion! Bye for now!!!

Family dinners and family trees
Teaching the kids to say thank you and please
Know that if we stay together that things will be right

Lady Gaga, ♫Is That Alright?

October 17th, 2018…a day that truly changed everything for me. In the previous three to four months before that I had started sensing that change when my best friend returned after a long absence and before we knew it the romance that was put on hold for a terribly long time found a way to ignite once again. My trust in things like relationships and being with someone who knew me as much as I knew them was shaken to the core but even for those who don’t put much stock in fate I assure that things happen for a reason.

It is safe to say that this blog sometimes serves as a diary of sorts for my life and it seems odd to many that not even a year before I thought I was happier than I ever could be but without drudging up any harsh memories, I will say that it was a false reality and time showed me that. It is funny how sometimes it seems as if the universe tells you something and the early part of 2018 certainly was that wake-up call.

This could get super sappy quick so I’m going to try to keep it at a minimum so that I don’t kill anyone with the sweetness but the overall message I want to say is that the saying “If you love something let it go and if it is meant to it will come back to you” and that is very true. Brenna came back into my life and after five years we were able to finally have all we could have asked for.

Some relationships happen where a couple is together and gets married then divorces and somehow circles around back to one another and marries again. I am fortunate enough to say that I was able to marry Brenna twice while still being with her within a two month span. I know that seems super crazy but to explain better we had an improptu wedding on the 17th with just us and a small amount of family but on the 2nd of December we did it again in front of our family and friends in an amazing ceremony.

It was everything either of us could have asked for and beyond and the song which serves as the soundtrack for this blog entry is what we danced to at our reception as our first song and listening to it, the words and the meaning behind it rings true every day. There’s no one better that I’d share the virtual world with than the girl I met as a goofy ass teenager at a High School orientation.

Being that this is a blog more than it is a diary I should get to the point of things as much as I could sit here showing how over the moon I am, there’s still work to do. This blog should be fairly short (and sweet as I’ve already covered) because the main featured item is the wonderful couples pose from Ma Cheri that is a part of Pose Fair for January.

Brenna and I didn’t really have wedding pictures taken except the ones that were sent to us by guests so it felt really good to be able to take some and I’m sure we’ll do a few more because it’s fun to do. The “Flaunting” pose is what I could say is the both of us showing off that we are united as one with rings and all which I think is a very important part, the symbolism of the rings that is.

Ma Cherie – Flaunting Couples Pose:

2019 is going to be a good year and I know this because it’s started off great as I got to spend New Year’s Eve with Brenna and that is something that oddly means something to me. It may not happen every year from now on but the fact that it did as a couple speaks volumes to me and it makes me look forward to things that I didn’t before such as holidays.

Okay I started getting back into that mode again and I promise to chill out for the rest of this post. The suit I am wearing is from Lapointe & Bastchild which is a brand that has through the ages been a part of my wardrobe in one way or another from being apart of other weddings to wearing one of their tuxedos for my parents wedding which is why it was super important for me to wear one for this one as it is the last time that I will ever wear one as a groom.

The quality of L&B products is top notch and a reason they’d been one of my favorites for formal wear as well as their branching out into casual wear. Their customer service (while I have never needed it personally) is superb and they are very good to their customers which results in loyalty their brand.

On that note I believe it is time to wrap up this blog before I get lost in writing about happiness because having been on the opposite side of things I know that it can be a bit much to those who are not in a relationship. It’s not my intention to seem like I am gloating because I’m truly not it is just something that I can say happens to this magnitude.

I have been taking photos like crazy lately so it is safe to say that I will be back sooner than later with more great items (which by limiting the amount of new items I put in a blog has increased my post count but I make sure that the turnout is to my satisfaction or it doesn’t see the light of day). Until then I hope the conversations continue along with some great shopping trips.

[#572] Gimme A HELL…Gimme A YEAH!

Can you feel that?
You better hold on
This one’s about to get bumpy

Rev Theory, ♫Hell Yeah

The weekend is here and I’ve got something more from the Pose Fair to share (which is going to be a central theme this month) and one of my long time fave pose makers. Most people on the grid are familiar with WetCat Poses and if not they should become versed in one of the brands that has been around for just about half the time I’ve been active on the grid if not more.

WetCat is a brand that when visiting their store you can find single poses for both male and female, couples poses as well as things with props such as the pose I am featuring in this post. In my personal opinion I am a fan of any pose store that can do just about everything and do it well; it is what grabs my attention and allows me to get my creative mind to kick into overdrive.

The Pose that Brenna and I are using is called “Youngblood” which being a music fan I am pretty sure that it is a reference to a song by the band “Five Seconds Of Summer”. I have never actually heard it and it could prompt me to go and give it a listen but I already had a good idea for the soundtrack before I even started taking photos.

With that said, I’ve been wanting to do a photo with a motorcycle involved for some time now and of course especially one with my wife because she is often a source of motivation and inspiration. Rev Theory’s “Hell Yeah” is an adrenaline filled jam that to me focuses on the way a woman happens to fuel the person whose perspective the words are coming from and that definitely is close to home if not right at the doorstep.

WetCat Poses – Young Blood Pose & Prop:

  • Mesh motorcycle prop included
  • Couple posesball poses
  • Versions for curvier models also included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair now until 01/31/19

It was a lot of fun for me to put together a biker look because I don’t usually do photos with me wearing leather jackets as much as I would like and I even found a great pair of leather pants that I just had sitting in my closet from a Gabriel gacha from last year or somewhere around there. The outfit was super easy and I’ll get into that a little more in a few but what I thought may be trouble was finding hair that looked the part of what I was going with.

Fortunately enough Modulus has a style called “Leo” that is at N21 until today so it is quite possible that this may not get published until later but I will still leave a taxi to get there but if it isn’t then it will hit the main store by no later than Sunday I would say. Modulus is really good about getting their hairs from events into the store so that people who may have missed them (and I’m a person who tends to miss events more than I want to admit as both a blogger and a shop-a-holic).

“Leo’s” style is moderately short but with some slight hanging locks to the side (which side it is on is up to the individual user). It was a great choice to go with for a biker appearance because it’s an in between type style and what I mean by that is that it isn’t completely buzzed but it isn’t super long (though some bikers do have long hair). It’s a fantastic hair that I recommend for the fellas out there and even gals could pull it off because it does remind me of the style I have seen on actress Ruby Rose.

Modulus – Leo Hair:

  • Original “Nex-Gen” Alpha Mesh
  • 5 Color Packs with Integrated Tinting in HUDs
  • 40 Color FatPack also available
  • Left or right mirrored versions included
  • Exclusively @ N21 until 01/12/19

A month or so back at TMD there was a leather jacket by Tori Toricelli called “The High Line Jacket” and I had meant to get it because I knew there would be use for it but I forgot to get it while it was at the event. When the idea of this photo started to play in my mind the memory of not getting that jacket came to the forefront which prompted me to find their store (I had never been there before) and get the jacket to complete my look. I already had the boots, I had the pants and and I had the hair and facial look nailed down which made this the last piece I needed.

There are a lot of features in the FATPACK that I couldn’t ignore so I made the hard choice to get it with the idea in mind that this photo is not the only time I’ll be using this jacket; it has many uses and I can wear different colors of it in combination with shirts and graphic styles to not make it the exact same jacket. The graphics feature is rather neat because it can be turned on and off as well as a choice of having light or dark versions depending on what color shirt is chosen.

“The High Line Jacket” is available in singles versions (with white or black shirts but without graphics) and come fitted for Aesthetic “Enzo”, Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique male mesh bodies.

I‘ve chosen not to bulleted list for the Tori Toricelli jacket because I’m not necessarily featuring it as a new item as well as it is not a brand that I am a part of the blogger team. Not that it makes it less important to me as it is a very big part of my look for this blog it just saves on time as well as reading because I feel like I have started to go well over what I’ve allotted myself for this post.

On that note it is time to provide the credits for what I am wearing as well as what Brenna’s look consists of so that if there’s anything that catches the eyes of the female readers of this blog then they’ll know where to pick up those items as well. Expect more from me this week as this is the first of two photo sessions I had last night so I anticipate probably posting at least five or six days out of seven depending on my schedule.

More photo sessions await me so I’m going to say goodbye for now and will be back soon with another conversation!

[#571] One Call Away

You and me can make it anywhere
But for now, we can stay here for a while
‘Cause you know, I just wanna see you smile

Charlie Puth, ♫One Call Away

Wow, what can I say? Lately I have been on one of the best rolls when it comes to blogging then I have in a long time and I’m not sure what exactly it is; I can’t put my finger on it but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth and all of those cliche sayings I could attribute to the reason why things have just clicked for me. Truthfully I am wondering if it is just the start of a new year and getting a fresh start or if there’s some cosmic reasoning for the creativity burst I have had…it could also be my excitement over returning to Pose Fair for at least the first two rounds this year. To me I think it’s more often the poses that help drive my ideas than it is the clothing but it seems that there is not such a thing as a virtual pose blog…well at least not yet anyway.

Also it could also be that I’ve truly hit upon some inspirational themes which most have been happy but if there’s someone that can tell me they are 100% all day every day and have never had a down moment then I want to know what they are doing because I certainly want to get on that train. For me I think that if I wasn’t allowed to feel any other emotions then I wouldn’t be half the person I am or will become. This site is more then just about virtual things, it’s about what it is to be human and all the thing that I may go through or what someone close to me might be experiencing.

One of the reasons why I chose the pose I did for this entry is because of the phone prop that came with it because it automatically helped me remember that one of the songs I wanted to use as a soundtrack was Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away”. It’s a testament to being an emotional superhero that doesn’t need a cape and being there for someone close (mostly likely a spouse or significant other). I think that if one of the people I loved needed to talk no matter when it was in the day that I am going to be there to support them no matter what.

I used to often wonder if I was the kind of person that did things for people for what it could get me in return all because of one terrible person I had in my life. They made me feel that way and I spent a long time worrying about what people thought but as I write this I’ve clearly realized that I know without a doubt that I do the things I do out of love.

Like a broken record I am probably going to talk about how much there is at Pose Fair until the end of the month when the January round ends but when what I say is based in truth it is worth repeating if it means that I can inspire someone to visit the event to find something to create a moment of their own that others will then see and the cycle continues.

MERCH is a pose store whose name I’ve heard floating around for a while and not only by fellow bloggers but also by their pose creating peers as a quality place to get poses from and that says a lot if someone in the same profession has nice things to say about another person’s work then it is worth looking into. Their pose set “Von” is what I am using for the photo and as I said above I chose it because of the phone prop that came with it.

Not all of the poses use the phone but most do which I thought would also be good information to pass along to the public along with also adding the pose key as well to see what the other poses in the set look like. I think that would be something I’d want to see on a blog if I were looking at one and wanting all the information I could get about a product.

  • Bento enabled pose (Bento viewer required)
  • 5 different poses with one pose variation (6 total poses)

NEW RELEASE

Fire escapes in winter can be pretty chilly so it made lots of sense for me to put on the “Camron Over Coat” by HEVO which is a recent release from the November/December round of Men Only Monthly that I remember picking up right before it closed for that round. I struggled with trying to pick between coat colors so in the end the price was well worth going all-in and purchasing the FATPACK.

Usually I tend to wear black coats because it’s somewhat of a personal trademark for me which is why I stepped out of one of my norms by wearing the brown version of the coat and still managed to get my monotone colors with how I colored the sweatshirt and shirt underneath that. What can I say? I told you it was cold so I bundled up so my pixels didn’t freeze!

HEVO – Camron Over Coat:

  • Original mesh
  • HUD contains 8 colors to change 3 parts (Base, Sweater and Shirt)
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Now available at the HEVO in-world store

On that note I think it is best to end this post at a good spot by leaving the entire credits and be sure to remember if there is something that isn’t listed check the above page with the list of the items that I wear currently. That is the go to reference for anything you did not see listed in credits and until I’m wearing something different that is where my permanent items reside.

Plenty more things to do and my ideas are through the roof right now so time to go cook up something new but until then keep those conversations going!

[#570] I’m Coming Home

Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes

Skylar Grey, ♫Coming Home (Part II)

It’s been another inspiring day for me as I am writing this blog post and thinking about all the different places I’ve lived on the grid either as a teenager with my folks or through various relationships to currently with my lovely wife. Each one regardless of what kind of memories are attached to them are a part of me and will always be a part of me when I look back at my virtual time overall.

Right now I’m writing this as I’ve had to say goodbye to the lovely home I had on the Mesmeric sim for personal reasons we needed to part from it as much as we adored it and both Yoshi and Duckie, whom we were renting from. We were friends before becoming tenants and despite us going I am still going to drop by and say Hello to show them how much I appreciate them and their friendship.

The photo for the blog today is the last one I took as a tenant of Mesmeric, but for those who are into beautiful scenery for photography and easy people to rent from then I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting this site looking for a place to call home. In the 3-4 months I lived there, I enjoyed not only having some fun moments but also managed to get some really great photos that I used in entries for this site.

It is never easy to say goodbye to something but I know I speak for Brenna as well when I say that we truly loved being a part of this gorgeous place and look forward to seeing it continue to prosper as time goes by. Much love to the hard work that Yoshi and Duckie put into maintaining all of it, we adore the both of you and know we’ll miss it dearly.

For those blog I’ve got a double dose of Native Urban which consists of a recent release and a current still in event release. I will start with the most recent one as it is part of the Dec/Jan round of Uber and comes in the form of the “MKJ Sneakers” which any time Native Urban puts out new shoes I know that I’m going to enjoy figuring out how to style them because the All Colors packs are just chock full of ways to color the various parts of the shoe.

This time I decided to make it easy on myself and coordinate it with the colors in the “Drift” Jacket which also has just about as many ways to style it as the shoes. I likely spent over 20 minutes playing around until I got the right color swatches and match everything up. Coordinating outfits tends to be a lot easier than introducing a tone of different colors into a photo via clothing.

The Jacket also has emblems on it in different spots (sleeve, left breast plate, and the hood) that can be turned on and off as well as an inner shirt that can also be made invisible if desired but seeing as how I’m doing an outdoors pic and I’m not a liquored up crazy person (right now anyway) I made sure to leave the shirt as is.

Native Urban MKJ Sneakers:

  • Original mesh
  • Single color options available for sale
  • 12 customizable parts with 20 colors (FATPACK Only)
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Exclusively @ Uber until 01/23/19

Native Urban Drift Jacket:

  • Original Mesh
  • Single color options for sale (with HUD for Hoodie/Shirt)
  • 9 customizable parts with 20 colors (FATPACK only)
  • Stickers have On/Off feature
  • Fitted for Signature (Gianni)
  • Available now @ Native Urban’s main location

I wanted to make sure that when I started doing blogs with items from Pose Fair that I hit it hard and I am off to a slightly slower start than I might have anticipated but I know that I’m going to catch up quick and hard with lots of great poses that will get my mind kicking more into overdrive then it usually already is; besides I took a few days off to recharge after posting several days straight which hasn’t happened since October but things are steady and I’m on a roll so believe me when I say it is just the beginning.

My last blog featured one of the sponsors for the event so I wanted to shine a light on another sponsor of the event. Most are familiar with the Luanes World sims which are highly popular for their ease of use for photography and being able to create stunning shots but the owner also creates poses as well which I’ve made use of here in the past as well.

“Do You Remember” which is a singles pose (that comes in the form of both a male and a female version) is a very nice pose that I would say is one that relies on reflection, a reason that picking it for this blog was important to me as at the beginning of the blog I myself was reflecting upon my time living on the Mesmeric sim.

LW Poses – Do You Remember:

  • Bento enabled pose (Bento viewer required)
  • Static and poseball versions included
  • Mirrored versions also in package
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

Personally I cannot think of any pose for this scene that I could have chosen that would have been better than this one; it helps me get across the message I want to relay (at least to me I think it does). This isn’t meant to be a sad moment, nor really a happy moment but borderlining more on bittersweet perhaps. Change happens and we may like it or we may not but it is inevitable.

On that note I shall end this by exiting with the credits and sending out positive vibes to all my fellow conversationalists.

Much love,

B

[#569] I Can’t Feel A Thing

Sometimes I feel that you and I are suicide
I watched you take from me
The very thing that made me thrive

Dead Girls Academy, ♫I Can’t Feel A Thing

For the first time in 2019 I am visiting one of my most recent favorite places to take photos, the wonderful I Am (SL) Amsterdam sim. It’s still in winter mode but I didn’t let that deter me from finding a good location to photograph that I haven’t taken advantage of before. There are several frozen over water fountains at this location but something about the one I took photos by called to me. With one of the skies by BATTLESCARS (that were a gift at 6◦ Republic), I found a beautiful background that allowed me to capture a moment that I felt was both beautiful and sad at the same time.

There are many ways the narrative could be explained as to what this photo is about but I usually love to leave it to an individuals own perspective when looking at my work. I will say that the emotions that I believe my pixel self is going through is that of sorrow and hopelessness with a slight dash of despair. To me in a way it is a call back to one of my previous blogs where the scene depicted a man involved in a gun battle looking to seek revenge. It could be looked at as a follow up to a future time when the odds are not likely in the protagonists favor and the end seemingly approaches.

had a few candidates for the soundtrack to this blog entry but nothing really fit and then I started to have a conversation with my friend, Lucky. We were bouncing ideas back and forth and then he reminded me of a band that he’d recently discovered and turned me onto and together we figured out something that fit within the realm of what my photo depicted.

Dead Girls Academy despite the name is actually something I recommend listening to and for anyone that’s a fan of post-hardcore music then I think it’s a pleasant surprise; with Lucky’s help we thought the best song from their latest and first album, “Alchemy” should be the track “I Can’t Feel A Thing” because the photo suggests that the world is crumbling around the subject as he is down on the ground reaching for a gun. What he intends to do with it is something as I said a few moments ago is up for interpretation here.

One of the things I said in the conversation we had is that music as a whole is what our scars sound like and we both agreed to the fact that we could just about take any song and at some point in time it could relate to a situation one or the other of us has been in. The fact is that whether it applies now or has somewhere back in time, a lot of my scars can be felt through this site. It may seem like a glutton for punishment to some but knowing where I’ve been and where I am helps guide me to where I’ll be tomorrow and beyond.

Okay so that was some seriousness going on there for a moment but now’s where the fun starts.

I’m starting the year being thankful that I am once again a part of the Pose Fair Blogger Team and I just couldn’t wait to get started and if I’m this inspired by just the first pose that I feature I have a feeling this will be a very productive round and month of blog posts for me. Normally I don’t go into details as I feel that is like a side to blogging that is unspoken but with the requirements changing directions makes it work out even better for me and I love it. Being able to choose specific categories of things I want to blog really takes a lot of creative pressure of of me and allows me to be myself.

The first brand that I’m featuring for the January round for Pose Fair also happens to be one of the sponsors for the event. Spartin Parx is a store that I’ve run across on the grid but have limited interaction with but the quality of the poses are high that I can say with certainty. When I starting looking through the poses in the “Kris” pose set I knew I had my work cut out for me.

Ten (10) poses is what I consider to be a lot nowadays when most pose sets consist of only five or less depending on the creator. I know it is a lot of work to create poses as I dabbled in it years ago for fun before the magic of bento became a part of our virtual lives. Cycling through them I found the ground based pose that gave me the idea before I even went to (SL) Amsterdam to shoot the principal photography for the blog.

Lately I haven’t posted more than one photo in a blog often but I loved this particular pose so much that I wanted to give two similar but different perspectives on it as I wanted the second photo to focus more on the leg movement I was making as well as give a better angle of the gun because it was a bit flat in the main shot.

Spartin Parx Kris Pose Pack:

  • Bento enabled (Bento viewer required)
  • 10 poses in pack
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

POSE FAIR 2019

I dug into my wardrobe because I wanted to save some of my newer clothing for future posts as well as I knew that I had a classic look with both the L&B Swear “Blazer” and “Slacks”. My thoughts were to look sophisticated but yet also dangerous given the different scenarios that could be presented as a part of the photos such as what is just beyond the camera’s eye?

Time for me to turn my attention to the next blog as everything I’ve wanted to say has been said and there’s so much more Pose Fair to come and hopefully those who have found their way here go pay the event a visit it is certain not to disappoint. Here’s the credits and I’ll be back again soon with more fashion, music and art and it’s certainly been a pleasure…
